QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Aug 9 2022, 04:52 PM) I think link faulty. When upgraded to 100Mbps to 500Mbps few weeks ago, the guy who delivered mesh units told me something about the fibre link reading is "high" and outside range. Don't know what number that is, he refused to let me screenshot it on his handheld tester. But he said to expect frequent drops and reduced quality. The next best thing to do is lodge a report. I check mine and it is 18. When the reading cross 20+ then you will either have frequent DC or cannot achieve subscribed speed. inb4 it's green, but still on TM-managed HSBB cable QUOTE(rontol @ Aug 10 2022, 12:31 AM) RM0 unifi: Tingkatkan kelajuan internet anda & nikmati unifi Plus Box PERCUMA utk strim Disney+ Hotstar tanpa ekstra caj! Not a good deal. Better buy your own TV box because once you are with plan that has Plus Box, next time want to upgrade/downgrade also must choose within plan that comes with Plus Box.*Tertakluk T&S anybody received this? good offer? powerwoot liked this post

QUOTE(frontierzone @ Aug 16 2022, 10:37 PM) No they won't. If the theft happen often enough, there will be a day when TM decides to just stop fixing the cable like what happen in some housing areas during the copper era. Time to get the neighbourhood together and form a joint security team. QUOTE(syncomp @ Aug 17 2022, 09:58 AM) Hi, morning.. Just take 100mbps, later can upgrade to 300mbps for same price. Furthermore 100mbps is more than enough unless your parents are heavy user.My siblings decided to install unifi for our parent house. The package that we kinda debating right now is whether to take 100 Mbps or 300 Mbps 100 Mbps - RM 129 300 Mbps - RM 199 As many have known that after contract period ended, for the package 100 Mbps can become 300 Mbps by accepting staywithunifi counter offer. Is there any offer for the package RM 199? syncomp liked this post

QUOTE(sgpdsmss @ Aug 21 2022, 03:59 PM) got? do u using maxis postpaid unlimited plan also ? Also depend on luck... Sometimes their CS malas to layan, they just process your port out and let go. so maxis fiber stable ? die die must port out ...straight change maxis better .. But don't worry, Maxis fibre is also comparable to Unifi, using the same infra, different ISP peering only. This post has been edited by YoungMan: Aug 21 2022, 03:31 PM |

QUOTE(sgpdsmss @ Aug 21 2022, 05:24 PM) No big issue. If you can check with a few agents, see if there is still 300mbps foc 6 months. Maybe after you apply TM counter offer you, then you can choose to stay on Unifi. If no counter offer then up to you to decide. |

QUOTE(megahertz @ Sep 5 2022, 09:35 AM) hi guys. i notice from the myunifi apps, i can upgrade the plan from there. Since you have finish contract, I would suggest you visit a Tmpoint and request for Staywithunifi plan. It is cheaper than the upgrade package in My Unifi app, but only can get in Tmpoint. i see there is same plan with my current existing speed plan with hotstar disney promo. i guess this will make my current plan renewed contract. currently im out of contract already. any1 have try this? Do read up few pages back to understand the plan. This post has been edited by YoungMan: Sep 5 2022, 02:01 PM |

QUOTE(MyProLife @ Sep 6 2022, 05:41 PM) getting more confused with their latest offerings IIRC broadband only offer can only get in Tmpoint for Staywithunifi.no broadband only offer anymore? also ultimate pak now with 3 versions... SE version bundle with quad play version = 5 apps (LGP for 6 months only) 49.90 = 6 apps (with LGP) 59.90 = 8 apps (with LGP, viu, iqiyi) all comes with hotstar, bbc, spotv and bein app, other apps are optional QUOTE(ideaplus @ Sep 6 2022, 06:03 PM) How come their front desk or customer service can remember all packages and offer anything accordingly? Definitely can, it's still lesser than food menue inside a kopitiam. You just tell what you want, when they agree to offer you they just go through their system and key in accordingly. QUOTE(issac99289928 @ Sep 6 2022, 06:08 PM) any broadband packages less than 100 mbps should be banned for fibre internet. minimum packages of our neighbouring countries start with 500 mbps. TM won't entertain anyone of you here because it is a monopoly . you should comment on the Minister's facebook if you want a fair price. ask the minister to ban any packages less than 100 mbps . the more commentators the merrier It's not about higher speed only, but also congestion issue. What if TM offer the whole malaysia 1gbps, but every night congested and slow speed? will people be happy? Right now they don't even offer symmetrical speed.https://www.facebook.com/AnnuarMusa ideaplus liked this post

QUOTE(westlife @ Sep 7 2022, 12:00 AM) just get the SWU 2.0 300Mbps deal if u have no more contract for ur unifi. Can be better if they at least give half of the subscribed speed for upload. work out to be rm102.56 nett (included SST) per month for 300Mbps for the first 2 years. After that will be rm129 (before SST) per month for 300Mbps which is still 'reasonable' price to pay for the speed comparing to any current offer. 300Mbps speed is not exactly great but more than sufficient for any household... QUOTE(akhito @ Sep 7 2022, 10:14 AM) lol, can even throw out 30mbps and 50mbps fibre plan. Just make it RM89 for 100mbps. |

QUOTE(akhito @ Sep 7 2022, 11:57 AM) well i am talking about realistic better offer in short term. not u wait 10 years type. this one, u wait 10 years maybe need swu20.0 baru have Realistically it is still possible. It's just that their pricing is mess up with 101 type of price for each plan to cater to different customers, and now Maxis also do the same trick to counter offer. Don't tell me only Mr Gobin can force them. Qash-M liked this post

QUOTE(raul88 @ Sep 9 2022, 04:34 PM) Hi guys Highly likely Maxis coverage is available, since it is also using TM's HSBB infra. Here is what you should do if you plan to switch to Maxis Fibre. Do not terminate your Unifi. need some information I am Unifi fibre home user (300mbps) my 2 years contract is ending soon so of course, the unifi "offers" has started pouring in the first one, is "free" Disney Hotstar subscription for 24 months no prize for guessing that it comes with a renewal of Unifi contract for 24 months as well I just ignore then come second "offer" a free upgrade to Wifi 6 router again, come with a renewal of Unifi contract for 24 months to be honest, I am thinking of switching to Maxis home fibers as the cost is lower and I dont use the Unifi TV at all so my question, does having a unifi coverage automatically mean Maxis coverage as well? from my understanding from long time ago, it use same infrastructure 1. Go to Maxis centre and register your prefered plan. Bring along your Unifi bill so that it's easier for them to trace the address or to request TM to add your address into the wholesale system. 2. You will receive a transfer ID after registration. 3. Submit transfer ID to the nearest TMpoint. Tell them you want to transfer out to Maxis. 4. While you are there, pay your Unifi bill 1 month in advance. Any balance TM will refund through cheque to your address. 5. Complete the thumbprint process and wait for 5 to 10 days for TM to approve the transfer. Meanwhile, you may or may not receive any counter offer from TM. If you want to take those offer, by all means, otherwise just be firm and proceed with Maxis. 6. when transfer request is approved, Maxis will schedule installation with you. TM will only close the Unifi account few days after your Maxis fibre is up and running. Remember, do not ever terminate your line but do the proper transfer procedure. Otherwise you will be in deep shit and worst case, port taken by other neighbour in that area. This post has been edited by YoungMan: Sep 9 2022, 08:33 PM raul88 liked this post

QUOTE(onlysam @ Sep 11 2022, 05:08 PM) Hi, am paying RM199 for 300mbps, went to unifi website and see they are only paying RM169 for 300mbps, can I somehow switch the plan? contract is still inplace Be careful if downgrade within contract, may trigger penalty. Better go to Tmpoint and get clarification. QUOTE(cklove96 @ Sep 11 2022, 08:02 PM) Alternatively can request swu package, even more attractive. RM129 for 300mbps, bb only. |

QUOTE(Devil7801 @ Sep 13 2022, 11:29 PM) Haha, I don't really like that idea considering Pahang is already known for "you know who" that recently get caught for corruption cases.. Also, while I might not fully use 300mbps now, I might later.. Will try on chat to see how far I can ask from those support before physically visit TM point and possibly other ISP provider.. Cheers Live chat knows nothing about swu, and they can't offer anything. If you want the swu plan have to walk in and request. That's how they know you are serious. |

QUOTE(Gaza @ Sep 15 2022, 11:54 AM) Hi, i signed up for my unifi package in Nov 2020, but added on mesh wifi (24 months payment) in Feb 2021. Most likely will trigger penalty. Please refer back to the terms and condition for the 24 months mesh contract, I think it may be recontract your Unifi for 24 months when you got the mesh. If i try to change ISP after Nov 2022 to try and get SWU promo, will they charge me penalty since my mesh wifi is still payable until Feb 2023? Anyone gone through something like this before? Alternatively i will just get the 300mbps RM169 or free 24 months D+H package. Edit: Currently paying RM189 for 300 mbps + normal TV pack. Also heard if get SWU promo they give 6 months free? You won't want to be hit with paying remaining months, so just wait after feb 2023. You can also call 100 to check your account contract. |

QUOTE(alexander3133 @ Sep 20 2022, 11:06 AM) Wanted to ask what is the procedure to apply for Public IP on Unifi? TM is very strict for public IP request unlike Maxis/Celcom. They want to check through to make sure you really use CCTV or anything that needs public IP. I filed a request to TM through chat, but they will be a person from TM want to call customer regarding this request. Why there is a need to call customer for Public IP request? They can just do a simple switch on their side right? Otherwise, just get any plan 300mbps and above to get public IP. |
