Livechat or call 100 and ask to reset connection. Alternatively you can also try to run the troubleshooting from Myunifi app.

nothing interesting, just new addon with mobile... unlike other isp which provide discount if bundled with mobile, unifi just keep addon the price instead

Not to mention their mobile coverage and speed sucks. Even 4G full bar also very slow speed. Bought their prepaid to test, and I immediately decide not to continue using.

It can happen once in a while, just need to ask them reset connection. As for the troubleshooting, can just ignore it. As long as that time when you plug in the landline it is working, should be no problem.

Taking a cue from its 2018 playbook, TM likely will offer a free speed upgrade for its subscribers to defend its average revenue per user (ARPU) and soften the tradedown impact. Therefore, based on its existing offerings (Exhibit 2), the RM89/month plan likely will be boosted to 100Mbps speed (from 30Mbps) while the RM129/month will be upgraded to 300Mbps (from 100Mbps).

It's about time they do so, now that 30mbps will become RM69 for the B40.

Just now trying switch to maxis fibre.
Suddenly tmpoint offer me rm129 300mbps with 6 months free subscription.
So I decided stick back to unifi. tongue.gif
*
Yes, both TM and Maxis has the same offer now. Hopefully they will set RM129 as standard for 300mbps

Bear in mind, this method may not work if TM Point not counter offer you. You may gg if TM Point accept your transfer.  biggrin.gif

There is nothing to lose. Maxis fibre also has the 6 months free offer.

Any news about 30mbs plan rm89? Does current user will auto get the price rm69 or need to reapply?
*
No news yet. No idea how it's going to be implemented since that is for B40 group.

QUOTE(surianti @ Feb 26 2023, 05:18 PM)
May I know how the Transfer ID and Stay With Unifi works?

As I was enquiring Maxis about transfer from pre-existing Streamyx to Maxis Fiber, under the interim period where we are having fiber offer from Unifi to compel us to change to Fiber, Maxis agents does not say anything about so called 6 months free offer etc rather they just presented the basic rm89 30mbps package. They were also clueless about whether we should end Unifi/Streamyx account first before jumping to Maxis.
*
Existing Streamyx to Unifi or Maxis fibre is a different story. Should you decide to go for Unifi, TM will terminate your Streamyx upon successful installation of Unifi. You can also choose to migrate existing landline number to Unifi if you need it.
However if you choose to go for Maxis fibre, you should keep the Streamyx line until Maxis fibre installed, then only go to Tmpoint to terminate Streamyx.
Staywithunifi is to prevent existing Unifi users from jumping over to another ISP, thus locking them with 2 years contract.

QUOTE(tutuyao @ Feb 27 2023, 11:04 PM)
Hi everyone, just sharing my experience on getting my Unifi done within 1 month even though my area's port is full.

My area: Bandar Sunway (very near Sunway Geo)

Already got 2 DP box on my street and both are full. Typical 10 - 15 years housing area, no new development nearby.

Initially I engaged an agent to apply for Unifi but once I found out that my area's port is full, even though there's a DP box 2 streets away with 3 empty ports but the contractor said TM doesn't allow to connect my house to that DP because of "ada halangan", basically means they cannot route the fiber cable across the street in case lorry passes by and hit the cable.

So I went to Menara TM early this month and submitted a new application. At the same time, I went to Maxis to apply as well. Turns out Maxis is using the same system provided by TM. They saw my Unifi order and asked me to cancel my order from TM before they can proceed to request TM to add new ports to my area lol (Basically cannot do double entry)

After I went back home, I call TM every few days to follow up on my application status. All I get is: Tak boleh janji, tak pasti, sementara waktu ini x boleh dapat, etc.

So I file a complain and surprisingly they took it seriously. The department who handles complain will call me up to update my status, told me that it'll take about 2 weeks to add new DP to my area. True enough, after 10 days they informed me that a new DP box has been installed on my street.

Another funny incident is that when the contractor came, they couldn't locate the DP box behind my house. They found the 2 existing DP but not the new one. But it was on TM's infra map!!

The contractor walk around my neighbourhood and found that the DP was installed on another street, different from the location that was shown in TM's map. I call them up and file another complain and the infra team came to relocate the DP on the next day, which is Saturday! (wow)

On Monday morning 9.15am, a call from TM told me that the DP is fixed and asked me when the contractor can come to finish up the job, so I said today and finally I've got my Unifi. Though the entire process is quite problematic, but TM managed to solve it pretty quickly. I guess because I requested to upgrade my case to "urgent" and I go to Menara TM directly.

I don't think there's any new application on my street and it's different from what I read from other forumers who took months or years to get new ports. I considered myself very lucky to be able to get my Unifi in less than 1 month.  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif
*
Wonderful!
But this case of no port really cannot go for Maxis, because Maxis still have to request TM to build the infra.

My contract just ended yesterday, but I have never received one call from to TM to give any offer.

You said they would call "non-stop",
*
Bro it's random lah. You think they will call each and everyone who is out of contract? When my contract end in 2019 also I didn't receive any calls until i port out to Digi in 2021. After this Digi contract end I will shop around to see any best deals again.

Just update my case incase useful to anyone.

Went tmpoint with next of kin. They ask for death cert. They did change of ownership to next of kin.

She noted that contract ended oct 2022.

Then they offered 300mbps, rm129, free 6 months 2yr contract.

They are light users. So went with 100mbps rm119 instead.

Didnt need to do anything with maxis or whatever. Tm straight up offer this.
*
Hmmm, RM119 for 100mbps, while 300mbps cost RM129. Previously someone got RM99 for 100mbps. TM memang pandai.

Offered by TM last Dec.

RM99 for 100mbps , no 6 mth free billing
RM119, yes.
*
But since it is perpetual, the RM99 is better in the long run if you want to get 100mbps, versus the 6 months free RM119.

Went to TM Point do transfer request from tm to maxis. Maxis offer for 6 month bills waives but after the tm staff discuss they offer me 3 month bills waives. so i proceed with with TR.
*
Good decision. Goes to show that not everyone is treated equal for the SWU deals. Just move on with Maxis and shop for the best deal every 2 years.

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Mar 15 2023, 03:49 PM)
Huh? 3 month bills waives only? Do you know so far here mentioned TM point counter offer 6 months waive?
*
Yeah, so far, but this is a case whereby Tmpoint refuse to offer him the same deal others are getting for SWU. Just because some people get it, doesn't mean everyone who goes to Tmpoint will get the same.

speed wise 300Mbps is more than sufficient for everything.

Would be nice if they bump the upload speed to 100mbps.

no head no tail; scared if i filled up, it turned out to be agreement to ultra-surrender everything including underwear....
*
Impossible lah. Inside the form also do not ask for Unifi ID and your IC.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Mar 24 2023, 09:00 PM)
*sigh* and i was thinking of terminating later by end of year.. inimmesti akan renew contract pulak..

otherwise, can relocate to join premise which i already have maxis fibre subscription?
*
If free upgrade will not renew contract. Only if you gatal go change your existing plan then renew another 2 years.
TM will not allow Unifi and Maxis running at the same premise although it is possible to do so.

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Mar 25 2023, 02:08 PM)
if this need tonopen port 1 and port 2 on btu, that means it is also possible to unifi port 1 and maxis on port 2, riiigght..?
*
This is already possible long time ago. but in 2019 or 2020 TM disallow the practice. Hence ppl who want to switch from unifi to maxis must use the switching method instead of apply maxis and then terminate unifi later.
