If you prefer change router you can try or choose Totolink router wifi 6 X5000R or wifi 6 X6000R because it supports mesh system,repeater,router,bridge and access point.I use for Unifi,internet speed very smooth.

Have anybody try Totolink X5000R AX1800 or Totolink X6000R AX3000 router?

tm really failure

last week i want to downgrade my plan through the unifi app from 800 to 300 cause money is a bit tight for me atm.

one week ltr no phone calls, email or any response from them. ask thrugh unifi chat and assure me will contact me within a few days. guess what, no response again. now chat with the support again and say will open a report for me. lets see how it goes this time. really dont understand, why cant support just do it and we as a customer have to go through so many hoops and loops just to downgrade the plan?

does unifi leak out info or any else?
my flat around last 2 years start got TIME fibre, few year ago only got unifi, even maxis check coverage also no (yes now already got)
recently keep got random whatsapp msg from TIME, ask to switch
but i never apply on TIME or sign up interest

4 months, furthermore my place only have tm infrastructure and no time here so im stuck with tm anyway

the reason why im annoyed is because all of them gave different answers, if the first time i ask and they provide a clear and concise answer, i wouldn't be so fed up at all.

im looking to downgrade since my contract has ended,now paying 168 for 100mbps along with ultimate pack and considering getting rid of it.

Can advice me which plan better for downgrade or other competitor offer good price for 100mbps?

I’m on Unifi 800mbps plan with unlimited calls and ultimate tv pack with Disney Hotstar (RM159).

Went to Menara TM and told them that I’m planning to terminate my current plan with no contract. They ask me for a reason, I said my company wants me to switch to starlink which is operating in June. They told me to hold on as they are considering to upgrade existing 800mbps customers to 2gbps plan…

Actually, the more important takeaway from this post is the news about Starlink being available next month.

There are only 3 possibilities.

1. That issac99289928 is right and there will be speed upgrades as he says.
2. That issac99289928 is wrong and there will be discounts for 800M packages and below.
3. That status quo will remain.

For option 1, TM will have to spend quite an amount of money to change modem for existing 800M and 500M users to upgrade them to new packages. Do you think TM will accept that?
For option 2, TM is going to have reduced ARPU. Do you think TM will accept that?
For option 3, if it happened, I will be protest voting PAS next GE.

So, what do you think will happen?

IMHO, there isn't a lot of difference between 500, 300, 100, and 30 Mbps. I have tried all these plans over the years.

The major difference is the wallet "damage" monthly (and that translates to a huge savings yearly) and possibly your time patience waiting to download GBs game files or Windows patch. And if you are above 100 Mbps, you are literally "donating" free bandwidth back to the provider. One can hardly use all the bandwidth at any given time, unless you are streaming more than 10 HD movies and torrenting/P2P all the time. Or running online server "farming".

Hi guys, I want to do relocation request for my new hosue which is also a new area. Saw that tm ppl already came and installed fibre box right behind my house. Submitted the relocation request by their fb and they say cannot find my new residential area under their coverage. Can advise how to proceed ya? Scare no port. I also saw got 3rd party tm dealer setup booth outside my residential area.

hi guys ,relative got new installation 30mpbs warga emas but i wasnt around, if i recall normally installer will give a piece of paper that will include some username and password for router login or something like unifi ID?

not wifi ya, i cant seem to locate it on the blue paper or even know what the name or use of it, i just know everytime got new installation they say dont lose the info.

Hi all. I've got a noob question. Previously I've been using unifi standard wifi router and is now showing signs of Nak rosak. And got technical issue so tm technician will come over to check.

I am thinking they may offer me a modem replacement with contract or I can buy one off the technician.

Can you guys recommend me what to do? I don't want their free wifi router as I would need to get into another contract (already finished current current). If I buy a router from them, which ones to avoid? Or if I buy a router myself, which one is good? Don't need high spec one. Just a good cost effective one and I'm living in a condo so no need for wide coverage.

Flip your router upsite down. The version number is there. Else, login to your router management and find the version number there System > Firmware upgrade > Online update.

Update:
Aviod TP-Link and most importantly D-Link. ASUS only worth for Asus-merlin supported routers and not using any Trend Micro features.

Just to update my experience :

TM Unifi 100Mbps. Old plan expired, renew 2 years to same plan (only removed the unused TV package) - RM129 / mth.
Shah Alam, Selangor area.

Suddenly without any change to network equipment, got assigned behind a CGNAT IP (10.x.x.x, Private Shared IP 180.x.x.x).

Now cannot ping own router IP (10.x.x.x or 180.x.x.x) from the web (so any RTSP webcam ports all now koyak).
Web browsing constantly slow or fails to load, plenty of DNS timeouts (already configured Asus AC5x router to use OpenDNS).

Can confirm 2 days ago was still fine on old plan (not on CGNAT). The network change took effect after a router reboot.

Got major downgraded, even though paying the same plan! WTF TM.
Should have asked them for the 300Mbps plan at same price instead.

Beware, Unifi 100Mbps plans and below are now trash (due to slow CGNAT traffic). Get at least 300Mbps or switch to Maxis.

If you're ok using WiFi 5 (AC) then RT-AC68U
If you want WiFi 6 (AX) then RT-AX56U

These are the lowest Merlin supported model

Because last time upgrade 30 to 100mbps, old router wifi 4 only
So just see budget wifi 6 router, never think firmware support so short

After request through email, 100Mbps plan got quietly converted to Public IP. Had to submit picture proof of CCTV installation and router netwotk setup (Port Fwd + DDNS). Issue solved.

For those unaware what is Private (CGNAT) vs Public IP :
1. Do a "TRACERT www.yahoo.com" from PC command prompt.


2. Go to "whatsmyip.org" check IP. If starts with 180.x.x.x you are likely on a CGNAT (the common shared IP). Next check your router Network Info page, the router IP from TM will be 100.x.x.x (the usual configured CGNAT IP range).

If IP in range of 60.x.x.x, 110.x.x.x, 115.x.x.x, 118.x.x.x, 124.x.x.x,  175.x.x.x, 203.x.x.x, 218.x.x.x you are likely on your own Public IP (CCTV RTSP friendly)  . Router assigned IP will show the same.
3. Fastest way to check if CGNAT, in your BT client, set MAX Connection per torrent to 500 & Global Connections to over 9000. Then watch your web browsing timeout trying to load Youtube...    (bcoz that CGNAT router 100.x.x.254 need to limit each 100bmps client's connections to maintain traffic).

hiya all, today I went to Tmpoint to transfer from unifi to maxis, currently my package is 300mbps 169/month going to maxis 149/month. Initial plan was to get tv add on with maxis since my old one went kaput.

Then the lady at the counter ask a bit about why going to maxis etc2, she said tm can offer 129/month for 300mbps + free for 6 months. good deal to renew with tm? seems like quite a bit of saving with tm
