How can i join the SWU ya?
*
Read a few pages back. Tldr: when contract end, try to port out to other provider. Then with the transfer ID, go to Tmpoint to nego, say you want to get swu 300mbps for RM129.

Updated my phone OS and now I got wifi calling feature. If I disable that, I get VOLTE. Should I enable or disable wifi calling? Does the phone call recipient (the other party of a phone call) needs to have wifi calling for it to work?

Thanks ya. I guess I will ask what router TM will provide me if I want to upgrade to 300mbps.

They can't tell you. It all depend what router the installer have at that point of time.

i just went TMpoint to change the fixed line number, right now the number still cannot be used. Wonder is TM side not yet done. Or the ZTE Modem need reconfiguration for new number?

Any ideas if someone have the knowledge.
*
No need to reconfigure, TM can do it remotely. Try to restart the BTU and check if new number can be use, otherwise try again after few hours.

Bring the GPON too, this is essential for negotiation.

Not needed. If you really switch to other provider later, still gonna use back the same GPON.

With the emergence of 5G mobile internet which reach 1000 Mbps speed, do you guys think that Unifi will release 2 Gbps plan as what has been experienced by our neighbor's country since 2016

What's the use of 2gbps if only to local but overseas high ping and bufferring?

any idea if port in from Maxis able to get the SWU package?
*
Most likely not. SWU is Stay With Unifi, to prevent ppl from port out.

QUOTE(laytiong @ Oct 4 2022, 12:41 PM)
yes, my dad. After a few good washing of TM chat and call staff I escalated kao kao. they refused to honor RM89 for 100mbps. gave my dad RM69 for 30mbps for 12 mths, next 12 mths RM89 also on 30mbps.

Will cut and move to Time once contract is up.
*
It's no brainer to not move to Time with their pricing.

QUOTE(gedebe @ Oct 4 2022, 03:01 PM)
TM technician keep insisting that anything on our roof they won't do even thought the landing point of the fiber from pole to house is on the roof.
They came, just say won't do but will close my case with internal wiring as the reason, a few cases already, anybody encounter this?
*
You have to report to MCMC. If they dont do splicing then replace the whole set of cable.

QUOTE(trix @ Oct 4 2022, 04:37 PM)
Without the 6 months free billing, then SWU doesn't seem like a good choice
eg current package RM129 100Mbps + VAR
Sacrifice VAR + 2 years contract = RM129 300Mbps
No extra value whatsoever plus TM binds you for another 2 years
*
The value is with the speed upgrade which stays perpetual even after contract.

QUOTE(onlysam @ Oct 4 2022, 04:42 PM)
Hi, I went into TMPoint to see if there is any better deal and somehow they randomly gave me SWU 300Mbps for RM129.

The person promises to give me Disney Hotstar as a reward, but has yet to receive it, what can I go around?
*
SWU usually no Disney Hotstar, unless you got B&W to proove.

Cheaper by RM10 only... If you can pay that normal price of 800mbps, the RM10 won't make any difference.

currently on digi 80 and planning to change plan to digi 40/60

They do that all the time. What I did back is to open one report everyday for as long as they delay it. I don't think there's anything else we can do unless you manage to viral on social media.

Was unto Astro agent again on WhatsApp. Also clueless and insisted on not much they can do but I must speak to TM.
*
Good luck. That shows they are not able to do things unlike Maxis have their people to liaise with TM. So you have few options.
Either speak with TM and apply Unifi, wait a few more months and hope nobody apply Unifi so TM can open to other providers, or apply to whichever other providers that can setup the service for you.

A public inquiry on a review of the Mandatory Standard on Access Pricing (MSAP) has been extended by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). Having announced the launch of the inquiry earlier this month, the regulator had initially set a deadline of 21 November 2022 for submissions but has now confirmed the closing date has been pushed back to 3 January 2023.

https://www.commsupdate.com/articles/2022/1...pricing-review/

closing date has been pushed back to 3 January 2023 .it means closing date is post GE .expect bad news for consumers.
*
Postpone until new gov is form, then they decide.

To be honest I don't really use 800mbps much but it's a pain to see this happening.
I do not want to abandon my ASUS ai mesh just to gain back the rest of my speed.

Try search this topic for SWU, if can get that plan even better. RM129 for 300mbps instead of 100mbps.

It seems that my Unifi bill got additional charge RM37.66 today.

Initially my unifi 300mbps bill was discounted up to RM75 due to an error in the TM system.
*
Nothing wrong. It's not like they overcharge, but just collect back the amount as a result of billing error.

QUOTE(Azusa_San @ Oct 26 2022, 10:30 AM)
U want fair?

Then tm should just standardised the pricing for all package, everyone get to pay the same price. rolleyes.gif
*
Yes they should. I really hope TM do it this way but we can only dream.

QUOTE(josh5671 @ Oct 26 2022, 10:35 AM)
since you mention everyone get to pay the same.

then unifi can just follow their official website.
30mbps-89
100mbps-129
300mbps-159
500mbps-209
800mbps-299

no SWU, no staff price. are you ok about it? doh.gif
*
Definitely ok about it. Want to give SWU, give to all. Don't discriminate.

its just not like TM able to giving his staff cost price then by 'be fair' theory they should give all customer that price.
can just direct walk-in to get SWU (surely after contract), some people dont even care about the price.
I dont see there any problem on this. but if you do malaysia have more discriminate thingy happen daily.
thb, how long you get unifi fiber service? months, years or dosen of years
i just get it exact last month 26/sept. before this pay 8mbps 149/159 before sst until gobind has the position fix it on 58/68 (not recall due to autodebit)
i am the one feel insult from unifi but not really you guys.
*
If you follow the thread, not everyone who visit Tmpoint after contract can get SWU price. It depend on the person at the counter want to give you or not.

any idea if there is any promo coming up? eyeing the 300/500mbps.
i can get for 115 on digi for 300mbps, so was wondering if i can get similar for unifi directly.
*
Impossible to get 115 for 300mbps on Unifi. Even for Digi you have to combine with postpaid. If your Digi promo is for long term, might as well just stay that RM115 or look for the cheapest 300mbps from Celcom.

QUOTE(Fyrekat @ Oct 29 2022, 12:49 PM)
Heya, does anyone know if there are any promotions or offers from Unifi to bring back old customers? I used to be subscribed to Streamyx, then Unifi, then switched to Maxis because they wouldn't allow me to remove the HyppTV thingy. Have been on Maxis 300mbps but now that my contract is over, I'm looking at new packages. Then I found this thread so wanna see if any sifu can advise how to go about getting a good deal.
*
Maybe at most can get few months of free bills. Try to check from agent and see what they offer for switching customer.

Yea, im a digi postpaid subscriber, hence why i can get at 115. But obviously, i rather ride on Unifi if i can get a close enough price.
*
Then why not go to Tmpoint to nego. Who knows can get 300mbps at RM129. Just additional RM14 Should be fine for the sake of riding on Unifi.

QUOTE(jhleo1 @ Oct 31 2022, 09:41 AM)
Dont just complaint about Unifi give difference offer to diff person. Maxis do the same..... but just not so aggressive as unifi. Hahaha.....
*
They learn from the master infra provider to survive. Otherwise they definitely got killed off by TM. The company that holds the infra has the greatest power.

Fellow friends, what would be the fastest, least hassle way to terminate my Unifi account?
*
Bring the BTU to Tmpoint and ask for termination. Make sure you go to proper Tmpoint, not deeler. No need the hassle of 30 days notice etc. Note there will be a final bill to pay after you terminate.
