partly it is the best offered in malaysia due to lack of choices... so they get to be one of the top if not the best..

just like its medicine and pharmacy course.. it is affordable if you were to compare with IMU..

the most fundamental in making an university to be prestige and recognised is thru the RESEARCH projects...

UCSI University should instead put more money hire more experience lecturers as well as change the syllabuses that make the students well trained in performing research projects or THESIS that can be marketable ..means not simpley find one research.. it must be something useful for clinical improvements etc.

how are we going to be compared with the public U?
looking to the size of campus, we are the SMALLEST .. a hill of useless parking lots.. should build multilevel parking lots and build a big auditiorium like in University.. the current audi can make u fall asleep when studying..

looking to the course offered.. well so far.. all the courses are in line with the market demands.. we dont have sains perikanan or sains marine in our U..

no. of lecturers: my lectures kept saying our Uni is good as the ratio of lecturer to students is about 1:15 .. but i alwiz think we are in shortage of lecturers

facilities.. aiks.. tyr go online in the com lab and you will know how frusfrated.. bus ..tak guna punya UNi... student need to pay higher price than outside for the bus facilities..
books.. max no of same books is about 6-10.. imaging if the whole class need the same book.. how?
parking.. as mentioned above..can we lowered to rm1 per entrance for student with student card?

student council.. most of things gone thru mr terry sure tak jadi.. u ask him open concert sure JADI JADI and happenings...

student fees.. for the sake of University word in ur certificate.. u need to pay if nt mistaken 10 % increment of your total fees.. university of currency sucking institution (UCSI) ..claps claps~~

oh yeah...
about the payment for computer lab, library fee and gym fees...
since we are having short sem...which is 1/2 of long sem...
why not we pay half of the fees to ucsi too ???

Because you are entitled to use it throughout the semester. My only beef is that it's closed during exam periods.

the library computers lagi awesome, even 10 years ago punya computer technology antique, u also can found there.......
antique mouse, keyboard, rosak punya CPU etc......

the worst thing about UCSI is it's stupid scholarship scheme.

They give u half scholarship (50% off tuition fees) and in return u have to work for them 65 hours for every semester for free, no pay, allowance etc!!

Argg...so far i've heard only ucsi have this blardy dumb scheme.

At least other uni let u graduate and u serve them for a number of year(s) WITH pay.

LOL-HELP also has this scheme. You work for the council if you take its scholarship for A levels. And isn't the fifty percent off a reward in its own way? Besides, you get that written down as working experience. And i just half ass those sixty five hours.

your scholarship is your pay lo.. nth is really free ma.. even you get smth for free, it is also for promotion..

if you dont like it.. just turn the offer down.. they dont give you anything, you dont owe them..

no la, i wouldn't write it down as my working experience. It wont boost my resume in any way also, since u're not given a title or specific task.
Most of the time your task is all the unwanted petty jobs like photocopying, counting number of forms (yes, i did that and counted 500pieces of form one by one!), running up and down to collect stupid faxes. So, how are u going to write that in your resume?

then, they shouldnt called it scholarship in the first place, right? They should just say working attachment or something.
Many Unis like Nottingham, monash etc give u 100% scholarship and u dont have to serve them. Zero bond.

i think the problem with ucsi is that they offer too many scholarship but too little amount. Their selection criteria is not strict enough.
It's as though they simply reward anyone with decent results. They emphasize on quantity, not quality. Just look at our recent awards, hundreds of students got ucsi scholarship.

IMO, instead of awarding 150 students scholarship (with value amounting to 50%,20%, or 10% off) each year, they should just limit it to 50, or even 25 and make it 100%.

haha..FYI, the main reason why students apply scholarship is because they cannot afford the fees in the first place.
If we can afford it, we wouldn't even be in ucsi...
no, many uni do not have any bond in their scholarship
erm... what does help, kdu or taylor upgrade to uni status have anything to do with ucsi?

who said ppl get scholarship becoz financial problem...it may be the majority but minority are looking for FAME..
