The phone will be quad-band GSM and will support GPRS and EDGE. In terms of third generation networks it is equipped with HSDPA, providing speeds of up to 3.6 Mbps. Other wireless connectivity includes Infrared, Bluetooth 2.0 and WLAN. Regarding wired connectivity Nokia E51 includes microUSB v2.0 full speed and a 2.5mm audio jack.
It seems as if it doesn't have much in common with the Nokia E50 and when it comes to functionality it resembles more the Nokia E65. Regardless of the fact that the Nokia E51 is totally business-oriented, it is not completely depraved of multimedia capabilities. It has a 2 megapixel camera that is also able to record video. There is also an MP3 player and FM radio, as well as A2DP Bluetooth profile.
The display on Nokia E51 is a 2" 16M color one that supports QVGA resolution. In terms of internal memory - the phone is doing well with a good 130MB, which is further expandable through the microSD card slot that support memory cards with capacity of up to 4GB.
The new E-series family member will be globally available during Q4 2007 with a retail price of approximately EUR 350.
