Then, after looking longer, it look like some other car but i cant really think of what car.

Knowing the typical Proton pricing, the car will probably be cheaper than the Savvy. I do think that they Savvy's price should be reduced slightly somewhat, to have a bigger price gap between the Persona and the Savvy.


If I were to choose a Savvy over the Persona, it would be the following reasons (besides price):

- I don't regularly carry more than 1 or 2 passengers.
- I want a car with low FC.
- I want a more fun-to-drive car than a Persona.
- I want a smaller car than the Persona (maybe because of limited house parking space, inexperienced driver etc.)

Now, Gen2 and Persona is another matter. I see absolutely no reason why I would want a Gen2 over a Persona. Sportiness? Not quite...


I'm not sure if Saga is a good name for it. But it is intended to replace the Saga anyway, so perhaps it might just work. It may very well be the ultimate Viva-killer, provided Proton keeps up the current trend of improving their QC and customer service.

OT: I just thought of something. "Sagaris" sounds way cooler. But TVR (a British sports car maker) already took that one. XD

hey.. that actually looks really really good. it doesnt look awkward at all, in fact all the proportions looks alright.. it looks like its been designed that way from the beginning..

put on some r3 bodykit, n this car will look really great!! give it a good price, improve quality n service, it'll definitely wipe the smugness out of perodua's face..

btw, any idea wats the front looks like??

r they really gonna call it the 'saga'?? y not juz savvy sedan??

EDIT : ive juz seen the front, n that looks good as well.. the front n back kinda makes the car look like a mini altezza y not they facelift the current savvy 2 look like this?? make the front look like this, n then make a better looking rear end..

yup..not bad..the bad who ppl though it suck..actually is a great design...so the moral here is...not to judge the pics b4 it is fully 'UNCOVERED'.....hmm

the design is nice but dont forget this is just a base line model..means no higher spec for this car...like persona baseline..nuthing much..like proton saga..

well duhhhh...... wat do u expect 4 under 40k?? buy a similarly priced viva also u wont get much rite?? a very basic car wit either a 850cc or 1000cc engine.. at least this has a 1.3 engine, n it looks good..

yeah,the price and the specs are good ,at least more value for money than the overpriced viva

since this BLM use 1.3 campro engine, i think, people will upgrade it to 1.6 campro or maybe future campro engine with cps+vim.

*1.3 campro=1.6 campro mounting, right??

if i'm not mistaken... campro series engine are all have one standard design. probably they just play around with the internals (bore/stroke etc.). the mounting most likely the same.
