Since its based on Savvy like how the Persona is based on Gen2, I'll expect the toughness of the car to be equivalent or better than Savvy. Maybe its tougher than we think.. laugh.gif

But Proton - I hope you junked the interior plastics of the Savvy for a better one else its curtains for you.... cool2.gif

it will fire an explosive charge to tighten seat belt during head-on collision

I tot all cars have pre tension seat belts? Like when u pull hard on the seat belt it will lock one. So in case of accident u wont move from your seat. If don't have ABS i wont buy this car.

off topic a bit, but below is an easy to understand explanation about pretensioner from wiki:

Seatbelts in many newer vehicles are also equipped with "pretensioners" and/or "Webclamps".

* Pretensioners preemptively tighten the belt to prevent the occupant from jerking forward in a crash. Mercedes-Benz first introduced pretensioners on the 1981 S-Class. In the event of a crash, a pretensioner will tighten the belt almost instantaneously. This reduces the motion of the occupant in a violent crash. Like airbags, pretensioners are triggered by sensors in the car's body, and most pretensioners use explosively expanding gas to drive a piston that retracts the belt. Pretensioners also lower the risk of "submarining", which is when a passenger slides forward under a loosely worn seat belt.

and if not mistaken.. pretensioner is to reduce the risk of ur head from banging the steering..... or even airbags.... normal safety belt is just stop only but pretensioner will pull u a litter..... i watch a vids in (either in youtube or somewhere which i forgotten) it shows how pretensioner works...
