With all these sudden policy change by Maxis in trying to upsell their plans and supplementary lines before allow walk in to sign new contract with new phone, will complaining to Apple on this conduct by Maxis will have any effect on them as they are one of Apple's carrier?

nowadays I ordered phone online at maxis website, dont have this kind of nonsense need apply extra line just to get a new phone
previously I kena before then since many years ago, all my phones directly ordered at maxis website

Guys and particularly those who had my same experience, this is for your information.
After a barrage of complaints from me, Maxis Recovery Team called me. They then arranged for me to go to their service centre and get the 14 Pro that I wanted without any conditions.
The centre with the stock was [at TTDI. I took the liberty to ask them whether it’s their requirement to have existing customers add on before being allowed to renew their contract to purchase an iPhone and I was given a definitive NO. Does that mean that much like their dealers, each centre is given a free hand to conduct their business the way they deem commercially viable? If that’s the case, then for such a conglomerate. It leaves much to be desired.
So, those who are still looking to get a unit, take note. However, with Maxis, you never know what can happen despite what they tell us.

If at all you want to lodge complaints on this particular issue, Apple is not the right entity to approach. In fact, I don’t think external parties can interfere since it’s a commercial stand but correct me if I am wrong. The only recourse is to exercise your customer rights and opt not to give them your business. Port over to another telco.

then they ask me to choose one only to check and i’m like why and they gave me the most bs reason ever saying coz they say thw system if check twice or more the price will change (this is on top of all the supp line bullshit excuse they give which guys already mention)
how else low can they go? check twice or wanna compare the price can change like stock market wei price will apparently change . they think i not educated or what

If you are in Selangor, go to their centre in TTDI. As I have stated in my earlier post, when asked, they said there’s no requirement for renewing a contract. The person I dealt with is Rahimi. Of course, it’s provided they have stock.

Wow, interesting… been reading the last couple of pages and didn’t think maxis could sink any lower but apparently they have, hahaha… I’m still patiently waiting for my wife’s contract to run out next month before we sign a contract for a new iPhone, but looking at all these comments here I think I better just try to order online as and when the stock becomes available than try my luck at maxis centres  I wish I could threaten to port out but I can’t.. I’m using their broadband services and have unlimited data but more importantly, they are the only one with decent coverage in my housing area, hahaha… Anyways.. it’s strange that every iPhone launch this kinda thing comes up… You never see them adding any such BS T&Cs for their Galaxy Notes and S-whatever Ultra and what not… This post has been edited by attw: Oct 18 2022, 02:04 PM

Looks like Maxis is having an issue. I porting out to other telco due to shitty line. It is almost 24 hours , i have yet to received the port out message from maxis.
I was surprised when i google about it and seeing many having the same issue. I call CS to enquire about it and was told 24 to 72 hours due to "system upgrade" Maxis seriously BS, i told them if i don't get the message today i will report to MCMC. Their legal team call me back saying that i should received by 6p.m (ngam ngam 24 hours)

maxis CS told me of their current policy - no longer processing MNP on weekends - no longer doing it at nighttime all on weekday, daytime.
