we are looking forward to stay in landed house. but looking at the current economic situation. we already identify which place to buy i did not find it viable at the moment. furthermore, we are looking at G&G where these projects are very far away from city center. she did discussed with me after seeing the statement, but i said no because that would cause our monthly cashflow to be negative. and the traffic during peak hours is just crazy

however she did sold her her unit last year (her parents one actually) too and because of that, her parents also were expecting us to own a bigger property

i suspect she discussed with her parents because during Christmas they did advice me to get a landed so they could come more often to klang valley to visit us in future. cut the story short, commitment fee already paid and loan is under my name

no need. bursa will send us statement via email now instead. sent us every month if not mistaken. i just print out december statement for hardcopy record only

same goes to unit trust and, insurance statement and bank account. everything is online and in pdf already. i print it for convenient in order for my wife to refer and locate my asset if anything happens to me

more space to fill up with furniture and stuff

how much do you need to spend per month?
how much risk mitigation product (like insurance) do you have?
how much will your RM 3.5 millions generate the "passive" income for you to spend?
how much does the kid need to spend on his education?
how much do you need to support your kid during his education period?
how long do you intend to live?
how long do you intend to leave behind?
etc

Yes if 3.5m able generate your passive income without you needing to touch the capital or you are able to draw down the 3.5m to last you until you go to the grave (more risky way). But if 3.5m in house/property value nope.

How often does your roof leaks or water stuff leak or other stuff? Not often. Condo basically paying maintenance fee every month.

condo is cheaper in the long run if the fees is less than rm300 per month

landed you need to fix autogate, lifespan is 15-20 years only. then you need to pay security fees.

if roof leak and replace new one. easily also 5 figure too.
