I can't seem to find a SenHeng with starlight 128GB near me....

(Because can get extra 1 year in house warranty).

Not sure if this extra 1 year additional warranty is applicable for apple products or not. Few years back i asked, apple products not included. Im a senheng member too.

Applicable. Not sure why your store say no. My current iPhone 12 is now covered by senheng extended warranty, it began when manufacturer warranty ended (recently). I even get WhatsApp and app notification to view and download the warranty contract.

I just drop by to my nearby senQ and they also confirm still available for members for current purchase of iPhone 13, sadly no stock today or I might have swiped some plastic.

My second plan is 7.7 RM10 for RM100 voucher in Lazada (not sure this year got or not?)

Nice! Probably that’s a few years back already. Not just one store, i went to all the stores they mentioned no extra warranty with Apple products.

Thanks for replying....
I am not really "upgrading"...I already have an Iphone 12 and NEED to buy another one for my wife for her in progress to kaput Android phone. She can stick to a mid ranger android but these days I am not fond of Chinese OEMs, and I will not spend 3k for a Samsung. I only had good will towards Huawei (of P20 and Mate 20) and we know its a broken path.
Whatever happened to Korean phones, they driving themselves to extinction.

So my budget is circa 3.5k for a new phone, if I buy an IP13 I will use it and get an "upgrade" and pass my IP12 to her. She cannot take a good picture even if Andy Warhol was standing next to her. So no point for her to carry the better camera.

The question is whether I should buy another twin ip12 for both of us or I get to enjoice new tech hehe... drool.gif

My 13 month IP12 is at 93% battery health, once it passed the 6 month it steadily drop till now, 1% per month. I use a very low power charger, charge overnight and have the optimized charging on. Perhaps this is not really the best use method, not sure anyone has better way. I will not charge my phone to 80% and stop there though, that to me will not last the day as I usually use ~80% of battery per day.

Get the iPhone 13 then. I had mine since April and loving it so far. I had the 13 Pro Max before that and passed it to my wife - that one the battery life is something else - no Android flagship phone could come near it. It was lasting me two full days of use on a single charge (I typically only use about 4-5 hours screen time on a single day). The downside is it was really heavy and bringing it for my morning runs was a chore, hahaha… My wife on the other hand throws the phone into her handbag so she’s good with the weight.

Bought my iPhone 13 green from SenQ 1 Utama too, I guess green isn’t that popular a colour choice, hahaha…

The iPhone 13 Mini is an excellent buy. Battery life much better than the 12 mini, which makes the 13 Mini a proper usable everyday phone. 👍🏼

Already bought your iPhone 13?

You can consider XDoria Raptic Tempered Glass case too. Feels more solid than those plastic or TPU cases, IMO.

Thanks for the suggestion...no, havent bought the phone yet but it is a matter of time.

On a side note actually I'm personally very very fond of smaller phones. I felt that the Samsung S10e (5.8") is the PERFECT size and fit (for me) with the fingerprint scanner on the side. The Iphone 12 which replaces it, is actually too damn big and bulky in comparison. Even a small matter of unlocking is cumbersome when swiping from bottom to top on an Iphone 12. Everytime I concentrate the grip towards the bottom, the top is like wanting to topple and fall.

Alas, I say again the Ip13 mini is just a little too small. And age is catching up while my eyesight deteriorates....I used to be able to focus closer and a small phone would be fine, I realize my own focus distance getting farther and farther without corrective lens.....I'm already short sighted so to add far sightedness means an expensive and very unsettling pair of bifocals.

I find my peers also being the same and price not withstanding all of them tell me to bear with the bulk of the regular iphone because that is something we can work around while the eye sight cannot be reversed!

My 13 mini Batt health is 97% already after 7 months. In contrast my 2 year old iphone 11 pro was sold at 96% batt health. I’ve started using wireless charger in the car, so on and off charging during the day. Over night charging same as before. Should i stop wireless charging ? 😅

Pretty fast… what are your charging habits? My 11pro lasted more than 2 years with just -4% batt health.. i simply charged and used. Prob because of wireless charging wearing the battery more?

Im quite a heavy user. Sometimes my battery usage exceed more than 100% in a day. I usually charge it to 100% from 20% or below. I noticed my batt percentage always dropped after using Waze and video conference app when the device temperature increase.

About the wireless charging, i had never use it. But for you, i think as long as you monitor the phone temperature to be not too hot, it is fine to use wireless charging.

Rumours are rife that the 13 series will be the last mini. I see Switch offering RM350 off for the Mini range… seems like a good deal if you really wanna get a Mini.. but the logical thing to do now would be to wait for the 14 series to launch and see if the 13 series get further price cuts…

There is strong rumours of price increase for Malaysia due to unfavourable exchange rates. I speculate Apple may use the IP14 announcement to increase the prices of all their offerings.
(You can see recently even Japan happen)

There is a merit to buying the phone more quickly than not i suppose. Early this month I got my Iphone 13 for 3499 - RM340 through Lazada RM10 for RM100 vouchers during 7.7. Perhaps 8.8 will repeat?

The seller is TMT.

Another risk is that Apple may immediately announce IP13 mini to discontinue (Like they discontinue IP12 Pro, Pro Max during IP13 lineup launch). This may cause a small disruption and all sellers will just be going on existing stocks or Last order status...but on the other hand if they retain the IP13 mini like IP11, then you are likely to enjoy discount compared to now.

I would buy whenever my need arise. IE phone spoil or damage or having issue. Then no need to worry about whether I timed my purchase at the lowest point....need should prevail over want.
