Thanks for replying....
I am not really "upgrading"...I already have an Iphone 12 and NEED to buy another one for my wife for her in progress to kaput Android phone. She
can stick to a mid ranger android but these days I am not fond of Chinese OEMs, and I will not spend 3k for a Samsung. I only had good will towards Huawei (of P20 and Mate 20) and we know its a broken path.
Whatever happened to Korean phones, they driving themselves to extinction.
So my budget is circa 3.5k for a new phone, if I buy an IP13 I will use it and get an "upgrade" and pass my IP12 to her. She cannot take a good picture even if Andy Warhol was standing next to her. So no point for her to carry the better camera.
The question is whether I should buy another twin ip12 for both of us or I get to enjoice new tech hehe...
My 13 month IP12 is at 93% battery health, once it passed the 6 month it steadily drop till now, 1% per month. I use a very low power charger, charge overnight and have the optimized charging on. Perhaps this is not really the best use method, not sure anyone has better way. I will not charge my phone to 80% and stop there though, that to me will not last the day as I usually use ~80% of battery per day.
Battery health is affected greatly by how you use your phone. If you are using it constantly for 10 hours a day , especially gaming or GPS, it will quickly degrade no matter how good you are at unplugging your phone after charging up to 80%.
In that regard, just go for the iPhone 13.
I can tell from the way you post, your heart is already there.
Don’t get another iPhone 12 and regret. 😇
