The driver's seating area is hard and uncomfortable especially towards the rear end.
I complained to the Service Centre during my 1K service.
They allowed me to test other V-spec model units and they are all the same.

While they accepted my complain and listed it in the Service Report/Invoice they explained that my seat is not defective but all civic seats this batch were produced similarly.
It is a Honda problem.

My solution, after looking around, is this Ikea seat cushion.
It's not too big (providing support only to the problem area) and the base has "textured rubber dots" that prevents the cushion to slide.

Just sharing as I think I am not the only one not happy with the seat.

i recommend to look for the Ikea BORTBERG lumbar
https://www.ikea.com/my/en/p/bortberg-lumba...black-10447972/
get the cheaper black/mesh one

now, i cannot remember if hillared is soft/plush (most of their cushion pads/add ons are stiff AF imho lol)
I personally highly recommend you looking out Mr DIY/Lazada/Shopee for cushion pillows/seat pads etc that may be cheaper, softer and plusher.
key is to look out for is cooling gel and mesh types.

for my wife, it isn't so much the seat in FE or my car that's bothering her, it is the back/lumbar which we use the Ikea, and (yes, pillow AND Bortberg) /or adding a full size bed room pillow (you know, those long ones for your head) at the seat back

Yeap, u aint alone. Civic FE owners on fb groups are starting to complain about seats being uncomfy after awhile or long drives. Well better than hearing got steering rack issue (afaik, all clear for now) as this chair uncomfiness can be overcome by putting like your cushion or so.

Is this complaint only inherent on the V spec which is full leather? I drove on the RS JB-KL-JB with no such issues. Anyone on the E spec also face the same issue?

Other than this small problem which can be easily rectified it is a great car for m138K !
One other problem... I really can't stand having to tap on the "OK" to get rid of the Disclaimer screen everytime I start the engine.

Anyone who knows how to disable the "Disclaimer" screen please let me know. Thank you.

The Service Centre told me cannot disable however Page 141 in Owners Guide mentioned it can be disabled but I don't see the option to tick.

I guess the base of the seat the cushion should be the same except the outer upholstery is different? How's it compare to the seats on FC?

I find the seat on FC is already quite hard for long distance drive and just barely pass the acceptable level.

Personally, i don't feel any significant difference between FC and FE seats other than the side bolsters on the FE are a lot better. The RS "alcantara/fabric" seats make hard cornering better grip on my butt.

Don't feel like it's too hard/soft. But not sure la - my butt & body shape may not be the same as others - i'm a big guy (176cm & 100+kg) so ymmv

I'm glad I'm not the only one finding the seats a bit mediocre.

For front passenger I have this:
https://shopee.com.my/XY-truck-suv-driver-c...7533.9697102186

But it is mainly to jack it up.

It hasn't been sit on enough times for me to say its better or not, really.

I will try the lumbar cushion because I think that will help with the posture.

If FC level of hardness, I still can accept, but don't know if the "suade/alcantara" plays any role. I am dilemma between V and RS, my booking is locked with V because I don't like the 18" and the spoiler but then the "suade/alcantara" is niceeee.

I'm ok on E, Civic interior (and seats!) Are really comfy laugh.gif
Hmmm considering global though, westerners tend to be heavier, the stiffer seats may be to accommodate them, however that will compromise on lighter people

Polyurethane tend to be stiff (depending on density obviously) and especially compared to say, memory foam biggrin.gif

But if that works for you perfectly, then just settle for it no problem thumbup.gif

Better do outside. Rm2k can get 3M Crystalline products which one of the best from 3M

yup, been using 3m crystalline. and for those who wonder i have no issue with phone signal. the staff said only affect smart tag.
so for smart tag user u might need to cut out a hole or open window for smart tag, else just use rfid will do.

my installer last time suggest to put crystalline while the top area of the windscreen using different tint with less IRR (<95% IRR), put the Smart Tag there via double tape.

i shared a youtube a few pages back that show how to remove the A pillar trim. TBH just a firm buy gentle tug out, and another tug upwards will dislodge the whole A pillar trim. To be honest if you have a spudge tool from the dash cam package, you can even push in the cable without dismantling the A pillar trim. But you'd have to take out the trim cover at the side of the dashboard near the door.
