Tried to find honda civic rs ehev review but no subtitle for thailand and eu are hatchback. Is there any review from thailand with eng sub?
Btw i notice eu using buttons for gear yet ober here still use the same gear lever. 😅 same goes with traffic jam assist which is missing for asean region but giving same hardware. Hmm
This is the only Thai english review i can find. Not very detailed review also

Out of the 4 the only thing that I care is the wireless charger.
Actually whats so great about the full digital meter cluster? Can anyone explain to me?
More information can be displayed on the screen vs the current 7" display. Also generally just make the whole interior more modern and upmarket, just like a modern car that was released now instead of from the yesteryears
But this is also personal preference. Some dispise digital screen and only want analogue dials
Also when adaptive cruise control is on, you get to see cars around you that are detected by the sensors displayed on the screen, just like a Tesla. Gimmick i know but who doesnt like a cool gimmick?

actually... why not both? lanewatch + BSM? lol.. more would be better, right?
This is what Hyundai Kia have been doing for quite some time, and its genius (another push for the Koreans here sorry Honda)
For Civic FE BSM, you can get the OEM sensor from China actually. But to make it work with the car system, not sure if its plug and play or some coding is required

No, our Civics do not have it. You need hardware and properly integrated into the car system so that you get the beep sound on the speakers when BSM is triggered.
Its hard to brain why Honda SEA does not have a BSM when it is a RM300 shoppee system.
Funnily enough.... the only time HM included BSM in any of their cars is when they try to clear stock for the previous HRV

yes this is a very good implementation system of lanewatch, as it covers both right and left side, and you need look same spot for both sides (easier muscle memory)
but there is still space for improvement, if a small monitor could be mounted near the side mirrors, even better, so you get 2 view in the same direction, (instead of looking at side mirror for normal, then look at dashboard for blind spot).
I think there's some car makers out there that tried that and decided its not worth the effort and costs... Now they go all out replacing the side mirrors with wide angle cameras instead.

Have you seen the implementation? They did not put the BSM indicator at the side mirror, but at the A-Pillar cover! U G L Y!
QUOTE(Haruharu37 @ Oct 20 2022, 02:44 PM)
Honda has pattern issue for COMMON BSM implementation on the side mirror? Else I totally cannot understand why their engineers design in such a strange way.
Yeah I know. Most early BSMs also come with this design before they move the indicators to the side mirrors. The placement of the indicator doesnt matter actually if the function works well, but of course it doesnt look as pleasing as the side mirror implementation
I doubt its an original Honda BSM. Most likely some OEM part sourced from China based on the design. You can actually retrofit BSM to a lot of cars, if your car model is popular enough you can actually find all kinds of 3rd party implementation from China

Really like 3rd party China OEM part, or like ZeneticX mentioned, the early days of BSM. Really U G L Y.
Well, hopefully in 2027/2028, battery tech & charging tech will be better than now and my next car will be a hybrid/fully electric. Of course, I’m hoping that Malaysian currency will strengthen and not the crazy USD4.7 like now. Die.
ohhh this gonna be way off topic already
but my opinion is regardless if it does strengthen.... the damage is already done (prices won't come down except for regulated products)

at 190k even Accord not selling well cz owner rather buy conti at that price. I hardly see a brand new Camry, lack of sales as well?
There's plentiful of new Camry compared to Accord at KL Selangor area. Unless u are referring specifically to the latest facelift with Dynamic Force, I heard the issue was long waiting period and quantities are limited
Anyway its impossible for Civic eHEV to breach 170k mark based on Thailand pricing, couple with the fact that its CKD

166k is a bit over my expectation actually.... i was thinking 165k but good thing it didnt touch the 170k zone
I guess its the price to pay for all the goodies. Still lacking Bose sound and blind spot monitor though, but not a big deal as long there's the full digital driver display

In the end..... you are actually buying the eHEV for the technology and extra features instead of fuel consumption. If you wanted to save fuel going for the Turbo actually make more sense in the long term and maintanence wise. The fuel consumption of the eHEV might even be insignificant on highway cruising vs the Turbo
But this is all assuming RON95 maintains at 2.05 per L in the coming years

true. for its price point it is better value compared to the competition that's all that matters to me lol
Its actually priced the highest amongst the competition now with the exception of the Golf R Line, it better be offering more lol
So you gotta ask yourself whether you want the tech and features offered. Not to mention its still not a perfect package despite the price (no Bose, BSM and RCTA). But sometimes just have to give and take due to our market and policy

Wonder why still no aftermarket Civic Si / hatchback grille is available. Definitely make the front look better. Also much better than that after thought Modulo plastic slap on

good thing about going for a Civic is that plenty of mods and aftermarket stuffs are available
there's even more if you take time to browse Taobao
btw, dashboard cover is dangerous imo since it covers your airbag

Ah true about the airbag thing lol. But i scare like my proton now the front soft touch material detach from plastic 😂 yeah, actually tempted do the BSM one someone shared earlier lol, and also they got do reverse mirror flip down.
Can only do 70% VLT tint 😂 good tint really makes alot diff? Cover is actually maybe got chance the car park there 2-3weeks no use cos i offshore 😅 and most likely at airstrip carpark
if that's the case you can use dashboard cover when your car is parked but please remove it when you are driving
