mazda 3? suspension hard like crazy leh u ok?
*
The correct word is firm, not hard. Mazda's suspension tuning for the 3 and CX30 is what you would expect from a typical sporty setup. It doesnt glide over bumps but it's also not to the point of spine breaking uncomfortable

for the vtec turbo and the space.

but since now home already have a kia carnival, so space basically not an issue anymore.

CX30 handling definitely not as good as M3 Liftback

And no Bose speakers cry.gif

bose speaker cost how much if install it at accessory shop
*
Not sure but if you want the original Mazda Bose for M3 / CX30, getting the hardware is not difficult. The difficult part is the software. The Bose system came with its own set of settings on the HU. Not sure how to unlock those even if you managed to install the speakers. Need a Mazda software expert

I think the brand in MAS now that has very low or even no discounts is Mazda.
My Mazda 3 only get rm500 discount 😂

Asked around friends/families, they told me that’s Mazda style
*
Sorry dont meant to derail this thread into another Mazda discussion

But fyi for CX30 i got 3k rebate from my SA. Not sure about M3 though since its CBU

Honda recalling 1.7 million US vehicles over steering issue
https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-tran...age-2024-10-09/

Recall but don’t fix the root cause also no use
*
QUOTE
Honda said the issue stems from an improperly produced part can swell when exposed to environmental heat and moisture and added a spring was set improperly high, increasing the sliding force between the components.

Well that sounds a lot like our environment lol. High heat, high moisture

i wonder how u guys feel ? yes! we all see there is announcement for recall. But do you guys still have confidence to 'Honda'?
*
those who no longer have confidence already made their choice by choosing or jumping to another brand

but if Honda can fix this once and for all, then good for everyone. At least I dont have to discount Honda from my consideration in the future

So weird if they choose to not replace the rack with the updated part (if it's even available??) because they're increasing cost on themselves to honor warranty for these new buyers.
*
More likely they've signed a supply contract with the local supplier of the steering rack for X amount of racks, and they determined the cost of replacement for owners is lesser than the cost of voiding the contract / returning / replacing all the unused steering rack stocks

Whether the steering rack really came from a local supplier is anyone's guess since we are not the only country that suffer from this issue. Also how many leftover inventory they have until they eventually move to the 'new part' in production line

Again this had been happening since previous FC gen Civic

not sure u guys seen 1 youtube comparing toyota and honda at taiwan, the video shared most of honda parts is from japan itself, while toyota is from thailand, then only some is locally sourced. so i believe is same for our country.
*
Not surprised since a criteria for CKD is certain amount of locally sourced parts

Civic facelift launched. Basically just a cosmetic update from what I can see.... the rumoured Bose for RS was not included unfortunately

Major update in the interior is the new infotainment with Google integration

shit really? ecotint not that good quality?

so far im using it on my car quite good, can keep inside temp low even during sunny days
*
Tint also got many range within each brand. You might be using the more upper or premium tier so maybe its ok

For included factory tint, it is likely to be the lower tier or at best mid tier

Autobuzz or Eugene reviews cars for a living and I see that he / they have nothing bad to say about bad cars.
The real question should be who reviews their reviews for a living?

Here is a non exhaustive list of people I don't trust:
People who review cars just to make content and clicks. And then they have no other apparent job other than that, then their job is more like a freelance car salesman.
PauTan
TaiC.Yee
Autob*zz
B*bbyAng
automachy
yskhang
msiamotoring
...the list is long

Here is one that dare to tell you or at least hint you:
The Piston Show

But refer my question above. They are all fallible. Consider ALL of them actors in a TV show just saying things according to script. They do not reveal the script writers so assume the script comes from people who will benefit from them IE vendors.

For the case of Honda malaysia cars, remember that the CBU Speccing is actually different from US / International (Which you can sometimes trust their reviews because some of them plain condemn a car for 30 minutes straight). Most obvious is the sound proofing. Next is airbag design. If any International spec car is as loud as the local Civic it will be outright called out.

And the second part which is dangerous to your life is Honda Malaysia rejection of warranty and safety related defects - Steering rack. Worldwide recall upside down, Malaysia one will say no issue. Reject your claims and ask you to risk your life on the road. Good 6 months after the issue blow up they will silently say there is an "update", and then 3 months later only then the RTD will repeat the same thing for good measure.
*
I think DSF is one of the unbiased one as well if not mistaken.... so much so that he got banned by certain brands for press reviews. I might be wrong, just kind of remembered I read this somewhere

I take all reviewers in the list above as mostly entertainment. However the B*bby guy is literally the worst of the lot... not even hiding the fact that his company (A*rizn) is more about advertising rather than cars

Considering to trade off my mazda 3 BM for the civic FE Facelift but i do aware that the steering rack is an issue other than that any other issues? So far my 10-year 278k km Mazda doesn't have any major issues except lower arm but that has already been addressed. Still drives good and all parts are still original fitted since day 1. Not sure is a good decision or better to hold off for other cars. Im considering a better power upgrade and since the new Mazda 3 uses same engine so meh...any comments? or feel like sharing?
*
Open to try EV? If you ok then Model 3 or Seal is actually a huge step up in terms of power

I'll be honest

If you don't want EV, especially China EV
Don't want local cars
Don't have budget for Conti brands like BBA
in the market for B C Segments (*in toddler voice* D for dead laugh.gif )

Sad to say Honda has pretty much monopolized that segment with their CKD Melaka production
Corolla cross maybe can pull some Toyota loyalist, or Vios, but my god that Perodua quality and overall P2 interior.

Personally, I'd take the steering rack issue any day compared to the other competition.
I , too, have sold the Civic FE e spec, as bro in law threw in an offer we couldn't resist for his pristine HRV EHEV hybrid, and my wife wanted a taller car as it was difficult to carry our newborn into the very low positioned Civic rear seats (and into the baby seat)
*
China is not just EV, there's plenty of choices for ICE as well eg: from Chery or Jaecoo

but if strictly looking for sedan, then yeah your options are very limited. I'll just bite the bullet and go Model 3 or Seal biggrin.gif

Ok I edit to include China ICE lol
Their cars seem to  have completely different driving dynamics lol (to my limited experience on the X70, lol yes I do admit, very very limited)

Model 3 referring to Tesla?
and seal being BYD?
Both EV sedan right?
*
ride and handling had always been an issue with China cars. but this is slowly changing now for certain brands once they start shifting their RnD focus, they have the budget to do so as well

yes Tesla M3 and BYD Seal. tbh other than them being EV (this is up to everyone to decide whether they're ok with it), no sedan come close to their driving feel in the same price range (at least until the taxes return next year)
