KP : I'm from Indonesia... *lousy country* and I'm not sure whether we can keep gliders or not.. if can also we need some letter as proof i guess...

sorry to pour some cold water to u regarding this but i had to let u know.

u wont be able to bring ur suggy to SG coz their gov dun allow exotic pets
if not i adi go there to work damm long liao cry.gif

another thing is since ur not from malaysia, u might face some issue bringing ur suggy back to indo,
not sure about foreigners last time i go to sg, the kastam dint check much on our side but checking was much more serious at SG side, so even if u manage to bring it out, kastam at indo might need to quarantine it as well and u might be separated with the suggy for days even weeks. this is not a good thing for the suggy as they might be mistreated during the quarantine and might lead to death.

so tink carefully before u buy and bond with one as u need to take care it for at least 10 years or more.

well if one dare to take the risk of having ta glider taken away plus heavy fine can try to smuggle in, i am sure it would fetch a bomb there.

but no point also la since u can only hide it within ur own house.

hahaha... I said that only mah...
since the 1st time I said I still have no confident to buy gliders cuz' it needs more time and commitment to take care of it for at least 10 years... sweat.gif

and... I never plan to buy anything back to indo... some ppl there never respect animal at all... some of them even throw stone or kick the puppy/dog if they saw one.... not to mention... the kid even worse!!! everyday throw stone to the dog... that's why last time I always cage my dog or never let him out from the house... if not.. dunno what happen to him.... got one time when I took my dog jalan-jalan just in front of my hous... then suddenly got one man approach me and said "u better watch out ur dog! if not later i bring my dog n bite it to death" sweat.gif
I was stunned there and faster walk back home... my dog din even approach him but he said like that... damn scary la

but one thing I'm sure is... after graduate I'm planning to take some other courses here before go into 'working world' haha... and if I need to go back for holiday I will ask my friend to take care of it for a while... but if I planned to go back for good then I will try to bring it back to indo... I won't leave it here.... but I'm sure that I won't be going back to work... holiday is yes... but work? totally NO!! haha

yeah I know... sometimes as long as u know the trick its easy to pass the kastam in my country i guess... haha

to be honest.... I never think that far.... what I think is... I buy not because I like it but because I think I can take care of it too!! and there're still a long way for me to graduate... plus still got lots of training courses that I planned to take after my course... so I think I still can managed it...

thanks for remind me though ^^ smile.gif

Ofcourse lah I meant the suggies tongue.gif

If you get from KL, you can travel by public transport back with your suggie without a problem wink.gif

You see, they sleep during the day and love pouches. So if you bring them back on a bus during the day, they will only sleep quietly in the pouch wink.gif

That's one of the beauty of suggies biggrin.gif

I travel as far as KL-Kelantan with my suggies(but ofcourse in a car lor)... They'll just sleep snuggle in their pouches until arrive to the destination smile.gif

Some people here also ill-treat animals. I usually put my dog at my yard, but sometimes when I get back home, I'll see stones around my yard. A couple of times, see little kids wanting to throw stones at my dog also.....

I think Singapore got people keep gliders, but have to be done very secretly. So since gliders are considered exotic pets, the price is probably very expensive, cause if caught smuggling in, die.

Go singapore a few times, got consider putting them in the pouch, when I go visiting maybe they wouldn't be able to detect, but scare if really found out, then I think I will get white hair over worrying about my glider,
thus I decided to scrape any trips to Singapore after I get my glider.

Why you did not refer to the 1st page?
Anyway, I will still answer but please please read the 1st page.

1) Price for a pair can be anything from RM500 to RM700 depending on where and who you get it from. Look at Garage sale.... Adults are cheaper but they are also wild and untame... tamable but needs LOADS of patience.

2) Gliders are like children, they need friends.... if alone, you would need to almost spend 16 hours with it. 10 hours for bonding and 6 hours play.... can you do that? You may be able to do it in 1 or 2 years but later you will get tired and they got a live span of 10 years! Read the 1st page on why a pair and how much care you must give.

3) Food, read the 1st page.

4) It is not easy to keep them. Think of children.... if you can't tolerate a toddler.... they need attention from owners and also their own species. They are not like dogs or cats or rabbits or hamsters.... their care is much much different as they are nocturnal. Gliders are most active during the late nights like 1am, 4am... some would be active around 11pm... this depends on individual gliders.

5) sexually mature at 7 months.... then it is up to them when to breed. Best is to get single sex pairs to avoid over breeding. Remember, 10 years.... to breed for 10 years is never joyful for an animal.

6) If a joey or glider has never been handled, then yes, it would bite and painful too. Sometimes bleeding also good. We also get scratches everywhere, my arms are all scars from glider claw marks hahahah.
