***GATHERING UPDATE!***

Okay, I know this has been long delayed again but now I'm trying to get things going jugak tongue.gif

Venue - We are looking at Pet Safari, Ikano. They have a room there that can be used. Last time a ferret talk was also held in the same place. I am writing the request letter to get the approval.

Date - Looking at 12(sat) or 19(Sat) or 20(Sun) APRIL, 2008... Lemme me know which date is best!

Time - Is 2pm - 5pm enough?

Rough outline - A gathering with current owner, future owner as well as interested public. Will discuss about the proper care, housing and diet. Q&A session. Will be giving out flyer and perhaps a goodie bag??? Will have a small display set up and selling some glider goods as well smile.gif Ohh and gonna try and get the press to do coverage!

Appreciate some feedbacks/thoughts about it and also need some volunteers to help and mebbe chip in some money if we wanna do goodie bags...

This is the two frames for the sides of the cage, finally, i chose to use angle plate, reduces the work of drilling the holes for screws..
I think i'm only 60% satisfied with it, craftmanship is just average.. so-so..only.
It's 2.5' wide and 7.5' in height..
Still have a lot to do, only 10% done.
QUOTE(rafiqos @ Feb 22 2008, 09:21 PM)
10% and it's looking quite impressive already! That's going to be one behemoth cage. Angle plates is a good way to move forward, for sure.

Can't wait to see the complete project! Are you welding the parts together yourself?

Nice work! Keep us updated yaa?! thumbup.gif

it all depends.. do you like to take out ur suggie and play with it non-stop?

mine sleeps at 8 in the morning and would not wake up till 10 - 12 at night.

is your suggie sick? does he appear to be lethargic? if he is shaken up by fast movement, hes just nervous. try bonding with it first before you bring it out to show ppl etc.

Mine would sleep for....i'd say 14-15 hours but they won't be out and jumping unless it's dark enough.
They'll probably be awake but just hiding in the pouch.

It's normal for them to crab if they r scared or if they r unfamiliar with u.
Firstly, bond with ur gliders.
After they learn to trust u, the crabbing will go away n they will be more than happy to see u.
There are lots of info bout bonding in the net.
Search for it.
Cheers!!!

I do believe u, every gliders have their own character.
Some just click to the owner immediately, while some just never.
Gliders that are used to human interactions r less likely to crab when handled.

My mom told me bout it when i got back.
I would have yelled at them.

A classmate of mine loves to poke and bounce the pouch up and down his palm when I'm not looking. I still don't understand why he just won't listen when I say don't do that. He only manages to bounce once or twice every time because I would notice and move away immediately.

Sometimes, it's best to just move away and get the glider out of their reach first before telling them than to tell them off while they're doing it.

I dun think you have to peel the skin. Just give it raw (wash 1st eh). But cut it in a few smaller pieces.
