Last time, the minute I on the lights, she will dart into her pouch, even though there's a towel covering the cage. Do post pictures of your little boy! Anxious to see how he's grown. Update!! Miko and Dakota sharing food in the same position. Look at the colour contrast! This one really tidur mati. Shioknye... This post has been edited by Reanne: Oct 6 2007, 12:11 AM

Found a video after watching that one with the Why I want a Sugar Glider. This guy does care about gliders and knows what he's talking about. http://youtube.com/watch?v=fKLvce4blTE&mode=related&search=Btw, 'Why I want a SG' is kinda dumb as if you can't afford the cage and food, why get a glider? It's like having a baby with no diapers, cradle and milk.

Advise is not to buy adults or simply buy joeys from anywhere. These ppl care more for the money than the animals. You buy one adult glider, they will probably use the money to buy a lot more wild caught/adult gliders as buying them(WC/adult Gliders) may lead them(Petstore) to think that there are people wanting to buy adult gliders.
Please keep in mind, adult or WC gliders are heck of a lot cheaper than joeys and stock for them is easily available. Buy a joey if you can from a reputable dealer. Later become like hamsters, extinct in the wild but too darn abundant in the pet trade.

Yea, they're not native to Malaysia. Red eared sliders are also not native to Malaysia and many ppl are releasing them in ponds and lakes when they get too big or when the ppl get bored of them. They are causing a lot of damage to natural habitats.
Chipmunks are more active, faster moving and I would think more difficult to tame than adult gliders as they can be very timid and frightened of people. I had a chipmunk before but I got him when he was quite young. He was very pleasant to have and roamed freely in my upstairs room (I live downstairs now) and never really ventured out except for once or twice. Very tame and comes when you call. But do keep in mind you need to spend lots of effort, time and patience to raise any animal to be this tame, this does not exclude gliders as well. No animal will become tame and bonded overnight.

She's about as fat as Miko. Neh, I see grapes. Try to avoid giving grapes as feeding them grapes is still questionable and there are some sites that do state not to give grapes or raisins. Better safe than sorry.

lol, maybe you need to check whether At Pit has mites or not. I don't check my glider's ears as they look clean enough. All of them got shiny ears.
This new girl very cute and has very very good appetite. Lol.... She doesn't roll on her tummy, she balls up and rolls on her back. She will try to clean her foot and fall over, then take a 360 degree roll the opposite direction before coming splat! on all fours. Then she will roll on her side and try to clean her other foot and then repeat all over again, only terbalik. Sometimes she will roll head over heels and fall into her food bowl.

Just only 2 months old oop is it? From whom did you get him from and when did you get him? What have you been feeding him as a basic diet and have you given him any treats? Do you have any other animals in your house?

Ikano got pinkies for sale. Buy one and let your glider try it. If it likes it, then can get some mice to breed, or buy from ppl breeding.

Baby mice. Actually, any baby rodent that hasn't grown fur yet can be considered pinkies.

I don't know if they're mating, but females sexually mature anywhere after 5 months while males after 3 months.
Why are you putting them together at such a young age in the first place? You should not introduce them into the same enclosure until the female is around 10 months old.

I guess I'm the better safe than sorry type. Because if they are encouraged to house different sexes together so early, chances of early breeding is more likely to happen as more and more ppl practice this. Once bred already, it will affect the female, and then once that happens, we can't really do much. That's why I prefer to not encourage it. This post has been edited by Reanne: Nov 22 2007, 10:49 AM
