Does anyone ever encounter SMS sent to some random celcom number or landline number without your awareness? This months I encountered few times and I have no idea what trigger it, and I can't even find what kind of message sent in SMS app. It just happen randomly even at midnight. This Hotlink Pantas SIM is used as backup SIM for data sitting at SIM2. I always set SIM 1 which is my main line (Digi) as preferred SMS under SIM manager setting and I don't face any unauthorized SMS sent from my Digi line. I checked the permission manager no suspicious app appear in the SMS option. So I don't think is caused by Malicious app.

Yes, seen this before on my Hotlink Pantas account too.

The SMS messages are probably sent by Google app (for verification of account ???). Check if the Google app has SMS permission in the Permission Manager. If the SMS is sent in the last 24 hours, check which app has the "Accessed in past 24 hours" label underneath it. Only Messages app should be accessing SMS.

Remove SMS permission from Google app (or other app) to remove the ability to send SMS without user permission.

Note: After Software Update is installed, check the SMS permission again, as Google tends to restore the SMS permission after update.

nobody knows. they can either do that or force upgrade for legacy plan.

If they remove Pantas plan or long validity, I will surely jump to Unifi Mobile since 4G and 2G are now using maxis network. Even though I am Hotlink agent

Haissh. So many “plans” they introduce and yet still not allowing esim for people who want it.

I’m with Hotlink for like 15 yrs already and recently got a phone that can do esim. And yet, cannot with hotlink prepaid.

Side note: last night i bought a disposable yoodo number to try esim, everything done in app and within 15 mins I got my yoodo signal, if Maxis not budging about this esim prepaid thing, probably the best time to port out after I finish my Hotlink credit balance (or sell it via share topup hehe).

In a statement today, it said the all-new plan is an integration of Hotlink Unlimited and Hotlink Pantas plans, paired with more choices of internet passes.
