QUOTE(8tvt @ Oct 3 2007, 03:46 PM) isn't that curent 8800gts stream proc's got 96? well yup it can beat it maybe in 3dmarkwith same tweak here n there.. surely the new 8800gt can beat current 8800gts.. and if with lesser price.. will be great then.. but again when it comes to real world performance... remains to be seen... hence the revision of the 8800gts and the 320mb being phased out. |

QUOTE(8tvt @ Oct 5 2007, 09:05 AM) bro ianho, bio shock uses the unreal enginehow many % using Qcore while gaming bioshock? todays games very heavy.. i must agree that latest games require highend cpu and gpu mem above 512mb... not like before by everage 3ghz cpu just more than enough.. future upgrade really need to spend alot.. todays gaming need to think about cpu also not just bothering about gpu.. after that ram also will take part..2gb no longer sufficient.. it can utilize all the cores. |

QUOTE(mdzaboy @ Oct 5 2007, 11:26 AM) anyone tried the GPUZ software..? a software that give all the informations bout the video card. still a lot of bugs and a bit outdated on the shader for nvidia nvapiget it here dunno if repost or not.. it will revert back to the stock ratio and do a multiple instead of reading the actualy shader clocks.. therefore this program has a lot more to develope until it can prove as a validation tool |

QUOTE(10071985 @ Oct 7 2007, 11:00 PM) seeing that even the gtx to balance it off with a c2d would be nearer to the region of 3.4-3.6ghzand the pentium d extreme 3.72 even loses out to the c2d x6800 at stock.. geee 5ghz?? |

well the score is possible
as my gts OCed can reach those scores and better it. hmm seems the shader clocks and mem clocks must be at some insane level .. i''m talking like above teh 1600 around the 1700-1800 mark.... for the mem .. looking at the opengl game also some sick speed at least 2100 above... then its possible. also suspect this is the 512mb version. or it could even be an slied |

hmm the shader could be even higher as gpuz doesnt detect seperate shader clocks...
it just follows the ratio of original clocks and then it multiplies with the core... |

interesting the g92 8800gt is 110w but needs a pcie 6 pin
geee so even though it is pcie 2.0 but it seems it doesnt use the capabilities of the pcie 2.0 electrical output. |

QUOTE(Hyde`fK @ Oct 17 2007, 02:40 AM) Any benchmarks on games done? Cause I more concern in gaming rather than synthetic benchmarks. 8800GT would really shine. i did actually.hmm on 22 inch mainly was on par with the gtx.. stock again to remind u on that but when gamed at 24 the 320mb was a definitely a limiting factor. it beats the gtx only in opengl games 22inch and lower .. because of the 2100mhz mem speed. well is it worth it??..hell yeah since nvidia is not coming out with anything new and there wont be a phenomenal gpu till next year... .so just to keep the fight going out a wee bit longer. |

well my pass experience on overclocking gpu
would say the gt will beat the gtx reason is this the SP difference is just 16stream procs and since its possible for a gts like the fatality / even my gts to beat a gtx on overclocked 96sp 112 sp should way easier on ROP's but hey this is call progress. if they didnt beat it then there is a reason ppl should go aflames with nvidia. with the ultra/gtx being limited on heat walls the possiblities with the gt is definitely promising faster core/ on par shaders/on par ram clocks and all on new revision gpu's.. what u can expect?? definitely the best bin will be reserved for a higher OC version. possibilities are endless |

its how much u can overclock on that dye shrink |

i think better for those with gts to wait for better revisions of the new gt/gts/gtx/ultras
testing the gt.. i mean its good and all but nothing great. also i dont know why ppl didnt post this this card is FREAKING NOISY.. because it has a whinning sound when u do 100% gts/gtx has a better cooler than this.. also hmm suspect the mems are not cooled enough This post has been edited by cstkl1: Oct 30 2007, 02:41 AM |

QUOTE(stanley85 @ Oct 30 2007, 03:34 AM) the review are here - http://www.tomshardware.com/2007/10/29/geforce_8800_gt this card is fast on 3dmark05http://www.techarp.com/showarticle.aspx?artno=467&pgno=0 seem the performance can catch up to gtx..sigh my gts.. managed to match coolice HD2900xt scores at 4ghz interesting part was on also high OC i manage to do just 1fps better than my 8800gts 320 on aquamark.. interesting so hmm its the shader processing that changed. |
