MSI - 1090 OC version
*
Bros what do you mean by kena con with OC tag? (I oredi paid the bulker for 1 unit MSI 8800GTS 320MB)

QUOTE(StratOS @ Sep 26 2007, 10:19 PM)
people all get MSI wor.. i wan know if theres a specific reason behind this.. laugh.gif
*
It got 5/5 on hardwarezone, the OC version, cos the clocks are 575/1700/ and stream processor oc to 1350...

QUOTE(ianho @ Sep 26 2007, 10:48 PM)
I reckon they're all the same. Just dont buy the OC versions to be safe. Unless the OC versions come with special HSF.
*
Is it many cases the stock HSF phail to cool the OC/ed units?

Concerned lah, dont want to fry my new spanking DX10 card when it arrives, and its be tought to buy the RM199 HR03Plus...

It's neither 90Nm nor 65Nm.
All 8800 series uses 80Nm technology.
*
errrrr..is it 80Nm for 8800 series? i tot 80Nm for 84xx-86xx series and 90Nm for 8800 series...hmm sweat.gif hmm.gif <- correct me if im wrong.. thumbup.gif

for my overclocking test bench I use all Thermalright coolers like in this pic. The CPU cooler is the latest Thermalright cooler now. It's called IFX14.

The 8800GTX is using Thermalright HR03 Plus. They r retailing it for rm199 IIRC.
Uncle! That's going to be your primary rig aaa? Now, I'm not only jealous, I'm MAHA jealous!!!

Just one question, if you consider the cost of all the nice TR heatsinks, would the money spent be better spent on a water-cooling rig?

depends..
on GPu revision...

as far as i know after talking to xfx contact directly

the A2 revision .. they are getting rid of some of their older stocks are cheaper
than the A3 revision.

so its a gamble on what ure going to get... but then.. if ure not so much to overclocking.. hell just get it..

also u need to check the warranty. As far as i know asia is limited to a 2 year warranty via distributor.

the revision should be there..

post it..

ty

FOR MSI 8800gts and XFX 8800GTs..post screen shots...

others are welcome also .. please do so..
then can see the oc ability of the current batch..

would be better if u can even tell me GPU batch no but u have to remove the HSF to do that.

XFX - rm888
MSI - RM900..

Imo, because its pre-oc (great for those who doesnt one to oc, esp. its higher shaders clock), and imo its has the best bundle software/accessories there (comes with Game of the Year - Company Of Heroes full-game) w/o the higher price like Asus.

Other than that, so far i seen all the online reviews has basically the highest rating/recommendations for MSI 8800GTS OC Edition even in those 8800GTS 320mb round ups, MSI very recommended.
