Speaking of Youtube, I don't seem to have a problem even during daytime. I have a wireless hotspot at home too and the connection is still there even though I am at my car porch. Router located upstairs in my room.

Have taken it outside and surf with Airzed. Seems to work too

I am one here! As I am studying in Australia, I have no problem streaming youtube videos to my ipod touch and it streams smoothly during the night but not in the afternoon where a lot of people would be using the internet..

It all depends on the signal strength and how close you are to the wireless router/access point. The further you are from the access point (theoretically speaking) the lower the available bandwith and effective speed. For those who have spotty wireless coverage on their respective homes, try purchasing an indoor high-gain antenna (50Ohm type from your respective router model manufacturer). Anything with 7dBi should be fine. Connect it directly on your router/access point's SMA connector and not through a coaxial cable to minimize loss. It works for me although a lot of people think that they're just an accessory.

I think YouTube streaming performance on the Ipod Touch is a little slow. I can stream non-stop on my Vista PCs anytime anyday with minimum interruptions but that is not the case when Ipod Touch is concerned. Its very slow. Maybe the transmit and receive strength on the device itself is not as good as my other PCs. I did suspect if my firewall settings could be messing with it but a lot of forums ignored that as a potential problem. I'll try setting my Ipod Touch on DMZ from the router. See if there's any difference.

Yep, there are issues with Vista 64bit when it comes to the iPod Touch. I guess you'll have to wait till it's resolved. sad.gif No idea on the library migration though.

Others have mentioned Videora, while options like Moviepod, PSP Video 9 are also available. Me? Being the anally-finicky person that i am when it comes to image quality, i use MPEG Streamclip + Quicktime for my video needs. MPEG Streamclip exports to Quicktime .mov format, Quicktime exports to iPod-friendly .m4v format. You can skip MPEG Streamclip altogether , and just use Quicktime to do your movie exports, but on some cases, you'll end up with zero audio on your converted movies. This is due to Quicktime's limitation handling audio mux/demuxing on certain file formats. So to be safe, i use MPEG Streamclip to handle all this, and it preserves the audio in a Quicktime container after conversion, and Quicktime exports it into the iPod format.

MPEG, VOB, PS, M2P, MOD, VRO, DAT, MOV, DV, AVI, MP4, TS, M2T, MMV, REC, VID, AVR, M2V, M1V, MPV, AIFF, M1A, MP2, MPA, AC3.

Those formats up there. As for other options, im not really sure, i dont really have them. When the need arise, then i'd go look i guess. tongue.gif

Perhaps in the case of RMVB , or MKV, Videora works? But personally, im not too impressed with the resulting video quality.

RM1739 the usual market price but with an extra 1yr warranty provided by the reseller.. that makes 2yrs of warranty smile.gif

Conversion using Quicktime is the sure-fire way to get it accepted into the addition inside iTunes library, but that's just me. I dont want to get caught up trying to teach people what's right here, and what's wrong. Just suggesting that you wont get problematic results out of Quicktime. nod.gif

Thats a nice price you got there. smile.gif

Extra warranty is always a good thing.

Did you manage to update all your songs with album art? Was it easy? I think my songs don't have album art. Thinking of getting a US itunes account to download them.

i had a nano back before i got this.. so it was easy to get all the songs into the Touch besides the vista 64bit OS issue that iTunes doesnt like to work with...
