Actually, the TS can make a police report with the evidence he's gathered. He can also scare them by getting a lawyer to issue a demand of notice and perhaps sue them, if they still refuse to behave.

I've addressed your points in my response above.

Unfortunately this is very true of most malaysians. They're aware of others bothering them but oblivious to them bothering others. Young, old and from whichever race, all the same. When it comes to acting shitty, malaysians are truly united

The better ones would arrange a meeting between owners/tenants but when it comes to enforcement, they have no real powers.

This happens in Condos especially when there kids running around. Thin floored condos, you can hear the kids running upstairs. Sometimes they will pull the chair or table.

Adults also will make noise when they get up from the PC chair, get up from makan table. and so on.

Rent a terrace house. Only rent a condo when the unit above you is empty or less occupied.

The water pump sound and water hose sound is still bearable, but the furniture pulling is irritating.

Speak to owner, ask. Management to force owner to terminate their contract when the time comes.

If u r renting and upstair is owner, den u hv to move out.
He stays there, u can't ask. Him to move.

U must be living in 20 to 30 yrs old building.

Get a lawyer to settle it. U have the right to have peace of time in your living area.

I am owner

The asshole is tenant

You should meet my upstairs neighbors, TS. They are owners and feel entitled to make noise late at night and early morning. When confronted, they blame the other neighbors (which is funny because I am on good terms with those other neighbors). How do I know it's not other people? I've been observing them and on the days they're home, they will purposely make noise and drop things at night in certain locations like my bedroom. When they're gone, it's blissfully peaceful.

Best to confront your neighbors with management if you really want to solve the problem.

But how they sleep late n wake up early?

They have to sleep late n wake up late right ?

They can't block the access card either, as long as they're still paying their maintenance fees. Even if they don't pay, I think management doesn't have the right to block a person's access to their home. Hence, collection of maintenance fees are never 100% at any project, whether low cost or high end.

If they're continuing with renovation works after the allocated hours, then management may be able to turn off the water/power supply temporarily.

You can call the police and even if they continue making noise with the police present, they can't do much either as it's deemed an occurrence in a private property.

You need to know the laws in this country are very lacking to tackle noise issues. Some management will have their own set of house rules where residents have to acknowledge upon moving in which clearly states you're not allowed to disturb the peace of another home, every tenant has equal rights to peaceful living conditions, etc. If so, you may consider engaging a lawyer to see if this will hold up in court.

Having said this, you will need to ensure you've done plenty of homework and collected a shitload of evidence to backup your claims. And these evidence need to be able to stick. Else it becomes a he said she said type of scenario and you'll find your case thrown out very quickly and you're left with a nice bill from your lawyer. Unless you have only one upstairs neighbour, this is one very steep hill to climb.

If you have very high iq and eq, try to irritate the person disturbing you into throwing a punch. Once you've eaten that punch, the police can then make an arrest.

So taking all the above into consideration, unless you have plenty of time to burn, the "solutions" aren't for everyone. If you have a stressful job, be prepared to have more stress added to your everyday life for all the extra work you have to put in. Make sure you have deep pockets to if you want to go the legal way, just in case.

Legal way works if the tenant is an idiot n get scared easily.

If is an asshole...to sue will oneself stuck in legal debt trap

This country sucks for legal lawsuit. Only the rich do legal lawsuit because they have bottomless pit. Some rich do lawsuit even though they wrong because they know they can put the poor under stress.

My condo has a nuisance law...that if got evidence can fine the owner who rent to tenant. Maybe if keep fine the owner.. owner dun pay..haha can cut water or electricity

I lived in Australia...I notice people stay in condo are very expressful of their peaceful rights. I once had attended a party at my fren place. He invited 20 of us. Dun think we were running or what. We were just sitting there having snacks n talk ghost stories. Siddenly the aussie owner downstairs was pissed with us due to noise. Only 1130pm...he call the guards to chase us out. Our friend who rented the place was visibly afraid. In Australia they respect this kind of things.

In other words, lucky for you there's a chance they will move out eventually. Imagine they're the owners of the unit.

No idea how they manage but the father was in the army, maybe he’s used to a weird sleeping schedule. The whole family, including the toddlers, sleep around 1am to 2am and wake up around 7am.

Some like to have a mid-day nap and active all night. My case not so serious but he's MR DIY, likes to drop hammer, nuts n bolts around 10AM. Then walks with heavy feet and also moves furniture around... I have to counter it by playing music so at least the noise made by him won't affect me much.

Don’t forget the stomping and banging by the kids until late at night. My neighbors used the MCO as an excuse for letting their kids run, stomp and bang until midnight. Even after numerous complaints to MO and security, they are still acting like a holes. Sigh….really maddening.

Only once in a while and in the morning? You’re lucky then. Mine and I guess TS is at night.

Surprised with the parents here…don’t they set bedtime for their kids? Even before COVId, used to see parents bringing their small kids outside to eat late at night.

no shit dude, just roast them already, physics in this case favors you

if it feels sweaty as fuck 1.7m under those bulbs, i magine the swamp of lava above. It takes 10 mins max to fully conduct and saturate 6" of concrete with heat, reinforced ? even better. Best thing ? Aint nobody can do shiiieett. Da fuck municipality gon tell me i cant use old school lamps coz i like the "color" and prefer blowing on 150w.

and this is me being nice and solving this for you ASAP with the least trauma for both sides without touching on the cruel stuff.

Best on humid days, 24/7 for quickest results.

A DIY guy is the worst. They will constantly doing something and dropping stuff on the floor. And they will be constantly pulling furniture.
Especially those that work at home doing DIY stuff and selling online.
