Hot hot hot .... sure my "nono" cant stand the wheather .... plan to install aircond for him. Panay eco inverter aircond ,... anyone have it? it claim 60% electricity saving!

try other brand that are using inverter.. im not against panasonic.. but long term its not that economical because pana inverter uses different piping and enviromental friendly gas which is more expensive.. cost hundreds to recharge /refill the gas... maybe u can see other brand like daikin.. just my 2cents. oh im using daikin inverter anyway.. but im not promoting. dont get me wrong anyway you can do your own research first before buying rclxm9.gif

to bro ang.. thanks for ur advice and help my chinchilla now no more diarrhea heheheh. was so worried and afraid before.. now relieved.

It wont prevent fur loss, but it will give chin's fur grow thicker and over all good health. Chinchilla will lose some fur everyday, it wont like ZERO fur lose even you have put them in air cond. You will see a difference when you put your chin in air condition, they will show you how happy are they. smile.gif Give them plenty of chew toy, apple chew stick is they favourate, just throw few stick in, this will give them something to do, stimulate mental, and less stress, less fur lose.

My goodness, the chinchilla is in bad shape, can you PM the shop name and location?

If even you not own a chinchilla, if you can see the chin in bad condition, it mean, is REALLY bad.sad.gif

when you think about should you or should you not put your chin in air cond room, your answer must be yes, always yes.

Again, when you think that is too small, then is time to get a big want even your self will say "wow, this is deluxe!" smile.gif

You need to give you chin bath often, 3 times a week and you need to see his reaction on rainny day when you put him in none air condition enviroment. Sometime too humid you can see his fur look like street rat's fur. laugh.gif Beside that, if you raise them in none air conditional, you can provide some cooling item for them, like a cooling pad and a ceramic house specially make for chinchilla.

Yes, you can, provided you are heavy sleeper. Because chinchilla is very active at night, it will wake you up if you are light sleeper. So far, chinchilla is the one of the animal i know that does not trigger any ashma problem when the owner have them in the same room. You need to clean your room often as even is one chin, it will shed fur too. biggrin.gif

roughly for 1 chin cage size can be 2 feet x 2 feet x 2 feet, if you can provide bigger then that, that will be ever better.

With bigger cage, more space for you chin move around, and you can offer lot of hanging chew toy and jumping platform for them to play with, they will love it.
