Let me know how much your eletric bill increase when you recieved your next month bill. We can all switch to a better, innovative brand that have build in inverter, I need that! smile.gif

Sure sure, I plan to check the electricity unit used (for aircon only) on tomorrow. No one at home during day time so it is a lot easier to check the usage of aircon. Will let you guys know the duration (hr) and electricity unit used. Then u guys can extrapolate the usage.

Currently I am using 1HP and I set it to 22 degree celcius and room can only achieve 24 degree celcius (constantly). Off twice, once is between 9-11.30pm, temperature drop until 28 degree celcius at 11.30pm. Another time is at 5am to 7.30am.

OMFG!!.. i went to carefour at subang, i saw 2 beige chinchillas.. selling rm1.1k each... guess what.. its stuff inside the glass tank.. not ventilated.. just a few holes at one side of the tank, shared with sugar glidar and hamsters. and i went there when its about to close.. the airconds are shut.. me myself also kinda sweating when looking around for my stuffs..poor thing.. i wonder which idiot from that department suggest to bring in chinchilla, its so lifeless in the tank, the ears are SO RED which can see its suffering from heat.
sad case

Heng, kindly confirm the abovementioned statement before I call to Carefour Subang to complaint.

Called the pet shop owner, Mei Yee this morning. Confirmed that chinchillas are displayed and she claimed that those chins are displayed in the show unit not aquarium. However, I did explain to her about the heat stroke issues and temperature shall maintain below 28-30 degree and ventilation is required. Very impressed that she accepted all my comments and told me that she will remove those chins from carefour. I didn't order her to remove immediately as I think it is very rude to do so. However I expected the chins will be remove b4 friday.

Very sad that I dun go to carefour subang and I can't follow up with this case. Can anyone who stays near subang or will go carefour subang let me know if chins still display/suffering in carefour. Thank you.

i went there and saw it too but they are not put together as wat you mention, shared with suggie and hamsters. there are 4 cases in the big case or so call display. 1 case for each different species. there are indeed holes at the side of the display just like pets wonderland and their door is with mesh netting.

basically, chinchilla wont make sound when you pick them up, however if they feel really afraid and want to run away, they have some very gentle 'hmm/sigh..' sound.

My rabbits do make sound if they are scared.

However, sample of chinchilla's sounds (angry, calling, warning, etc) can be found on the net if whoever are curious. Just do a search on google.

wow... nice chins. I like the white chin a lot biggrin.gif

Chinchillas: I noticed my chins and jacklene's chins's ears are having black spots. Is it because dirty or what? coz when my chins were young, the black spots were not there.

Because that is the cheapest and higher chances to produce and is pet quality. Actaully grey chin can be range price from RM500-Rm5000+ if that is a realllll quality Grey chinchilla. Grey chinchilla basically have few type of tone. From light grey to dark grey. smile.gif
