Ow.... you bough this 2 chin.

Glad that you separated them, well done. What feed you using now?
Which one have the whole patch missing fur, can you take a picture to show me? Fungus is very easy to attack chin or any furry animal here due to our climate. If you have a rabbit near by, i suggest you place it else where or dont put in same room. Wash your hand with soap each time BEFORE you touch your chin and wash your hand with soap each time after you touch your chin. That will avoid bacteria spread.
The hay house look ok to me. Your chin will love it, he will chew it down in no time...
Since you using newspaper as a base for your chin, that can save some cost, but make sure each day you change it for them. Place a bit thick paper, pee can wet the whole paper very fast if your paper is to thin, it cos a big mess.
Just to add a note for you, your chin is a medium Ebony and a light tan.
This is the bird cage that I mentioned earlier (smaller gap and 3 stories high), RM280 (5% discount if you are member). These two small one are separated as per Chin's advise... but they still chat during nite time, long chat

they are not lonely at all.
tiles is added... for cooling effect, sometimes during the day time... they will take a short nap on the tiles.
Feeding material: Timothy hay (majority), a little bit of alfafa leaves (approx. 1 tablespoon, small grab) and 1 teaspoon of chinchilla pellet. Feed twice a day, 8am and evening (ranges from 7-9pm, depends on what time they wake up). They will stand at the gate or make some noise if they want food. However, timothy is always left behind (my chin dun really like timothy) and I have even see before they pick up the timothy from the bowl and throw it away... like a small kid like that. However, they are quiet ok with timothy if my fren hand feed them. My housemate really spend a lot of time with her chins.
Rocky and Pebbles got no fungus, the one that I saw got fungus is in pet safari (lastest batch of chinchilla). Today I went there and notice that chin is missing... I think someone bought it oledi. Sometimes it is not so easy to notice, I am just so lucky to notice only.

But the medium enbony's ear, near the edge got a small needle hole and I suspect it is a lable tag hole. And the edge of the ear not smooth, quite mild and not serious la (chinese use to say kena gigit by anjing). The worst thing is the misai kena trimmed (left about 1.5inches but still got split end)

Thank god the light tan is perfect to me... ears, legs and hair are alright, just a bit too active... like to be spider man.
Thanks for your info... try to search for the colour name and not sure whether is tan or beige and enbony or black. Haha luckily you have given me the answer.
