My A80J bought in 2021 Dec'21  laugh.gif from Senheng, that time there was the discount all over.
Just get the K perhaps, I also added another 77" and this time around is the A80K as A80J no more stocks.

Vincent Teoh finally reviews the A80K

btw CES 2023 coming this weekend. Let's see what Sony have in store for this year.

Last year line up (K series) was honestly quite disappointing other than A95K and X95K.... and the former was not available here while the latter was priced out of reach for most due to the available size

Originally wanted to get 85X85J, big screen ma… but I’m used to the 65A80J… went Desa see see see.. end up picked the smaller 77A80K.

Originally I think 18,650. Then during 12.12 further discount to 17,000. So the price is double what I paid for 65A80J (8699 I think). Desa did give like… cash rebates etc which I used to buy Denon X3700H AVR for the bedroom. So there save like 500+.

I underestimated my bedroom viewing distance πŸ˜‚ it’s about 16 feet far away aiyo. So… 65” will stay in the hall while the 77” will be in the room 🀣

Today only taking delivery 🀩

Even if Sony bring in A95K, would you buy it though? The same panel with S95B but double the price.

QUOTE
In a statement from Sony Electronics provided by spokesperson Chloe Canta, the company confirmed that β€œSony will not be sharing any TV details during CES 2023. However, please stay tuned for an upcoming announcement coming soon.” An earlier statement explained β€œwe plan launch timings based on various factors, and are excited to bring new and exciting technology to customers soon again in 2023.”

There's no general Sony TV thread so am not not sure where to ask. Just trying my luck.

My 7 years old KDL-65W850C just died, picture won't come out. LED indicator blinking 6 times (white). Here's what I found on the net, tried the troubleshooting method as advised but to no avail.

https://electrofixs.com/sony-tv-red-light-blinks-6-times/
https://techprofet.com/sony-tv-blinking-red-light-6-times/
https://www.quora.com/Is-there-any-solution...-on-the-Sony-TV

So, long story short, I'm looking for recommendation from those who has similar experience. Do I need to engage with Sony technician officially or is there any reputable 3rd party technician?

Changing new TV is one of the consideration if 1) the TV can't be repaired at all & 2) manage to repair but it somehow it won't last long.

I may want to try getting it fixed first. It's hard to dispose to the size.

Thanks guys.

Finally delivered πŸ˜† but this speaker seems like less bass than A80J. Maybe because it’s on the wall rather than on table like my A80J was.

Wait a sec, I see Bravia Core service ohmy.gif. Is this now available in Malaysia?

Wall mounted, this one taken when letting it stand on the floor to install bracket. Cilaka this installer wanted to rest the screen flat WTF ._. instruction there already mentioned don't rest is flat on the floor.

I think is 17k, originally I paid like 19k for it.. then I guess December got discount so down to 17k.

After my cables going through the wall... not long enough ah doi... seller gave me some branded hdmi 2m cannot pakai... end up just buy several 3 meters ugreen hdmi2.1 with certification type. Waiting for it to arrive.

For higher end K models have that. Sony doesn't let earlier model use the Bravia Core even though it is installed in the TV.

My A80J didn't have it, but in other country ada... so was kinda surprised A80K have it.

Can watch some of the remastered movies in 16:9 instead of the regular cinescope of the blu-ray.

Actually no... seems like is just 10 movies with 1 year validity sweat.gif

TV are usually 16:9, but movies are usually scope. With some movies have remastered to 16:9 "IMAX" screen... like on Disney vs the blu-ray. But then again... lol my TV is in the bedroom... and if I were to watch proper movie I would be at the other room hmm.gif

Is there any android screen saver app which I can install on the TV to play from a series of video files CONTINUOUSLY ( remember the last stop ) when the TV gets into screen saver mode ?

The screen safer app comes from the TV ( Living decor ) does not allow me to set the video, and it seems to always start from the beginning. After a while it becomes so repeatative and boring.
