I’m having the same issue too but mine has a horizontal line and the picture’s a bit shaky.

I got my X90J screen replaced through insurance (Senheng), and the repair cost came up to RM988.60.

so the repair is free? with ur extended warranty via senheng?

Ic. That’s good.

Then it is worthwhile for your extra warranty u get from sengheng.

Besides, how much extra u paid to get the extra coverage last time?

And also from the feedback here. Seems like OLED model has less problems happened comparing to full array lcd, that is more prone for failure.

Certainly. But comes with price too.

My A80j’s warranty just ended few days back.
Now no more warranty. Hope it can last. tongue.gif
It has served me very well for the past two years.

sony CS contacted me yesterday and today to inform that they will arrange a home service to check on the USB prob of my A80J.

Initially he said that I need to pay for the service, but i told him that i log the support ticket before my warranty ends. So it will be free after he had checked.

The technician will call me within 1 to 2 working days to check my availability to arrange for the home service.

As suggested by bro here, utilise this free service to confirm my prob before warranty ends.

Saw this in the review in Sony official Bravia 5 webpage.

Rtings reviewed it and reviews are not good. Poor contrast, poor viewing angles, subpar HDR performance and overall poor home theater viewing experience. We will be better off with the last year Bravia 7. See the review below https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/bravia-5

Isn’t logical that Bravia 5 should not be superior or even same as Bravia 7?

If not, what is the point of it being the lower tier option than Bravia 5?

But to be frank, I personally feel that it is quite pointless to have so many options of mini-led models to choose from (Bravia 5, 7, 9j.

And my personal choice of model will always be OLED only which the picture quality, viewing angle everything are perfect. And with the increased contrast over the years for OLED and the perfect option QD-OLED, OLED is almost flawless.

The XR chip in sony TV really upscale the 1080p video well (especially recent years one).

The quality of the picture displayed on the 4k TV today is really good looks very close to native 4k video source quality. tongue.gif

besides, for those of you who own the sony OLED tv, did you do the panel refresh which is a function in the TV to help to reduce any image retention on the OLED tv?

pixel shift if u enable this function, it will shift the pixels to reduce the chance for retention.

but panel refresh is a manual function that one does to explicitly force the panel to do something to reduce the retention that was already caused. tongue.gif

it is enabled by default.

How to enable Pixel Shift:
1. Access Settings:
Navigate to your TV's settings menu. The exact steps may vary slightly depending on your TV model, but generally involve using the "Settings" or "Quick Settings" button on your remote.
2. Find Expert Panel Settings:
Look for options like "Display & Sound," then "Expert Panel Settings," or similar wording.
3. Enable Pixel Shift:
Within the expert panel settings, find the "Pixel Shift" option and ensure it's set to "On".

Awesome, thank you so much for the link.

Will the price also decreased during the promotions or only with TNG redemption?

I think best is to wait until official announcement, then can compare. Sure, good thing to have both cut price + TNG redemption biggrin.gif
