My Apple TV 4K 32GB storage also never passed 10GB of usage.
Shouldve made the 32GB one more affordable la so that more people will join the bandwagon and maybe more local contents would appear there. |

I think I will get the new Apple 4K TV once it is available here to replace my old 2nd gen Apple TV. Wanna watch stuff in 4K haha!

That's the reason Apple remove the gyroscope from ATV. Apple know you guys will use DualShock.

I am not really expecting much from this latest Apple TV. I am using the ATV 4 HD version and just upgrading to 4K. I have a problem with ATV. Remote will not turn off TV but will turn on the TV. Volume control works fine. This has been on-going problem for me since ATV 4 HD. I confirm that HDMI-CEC is enabled. TV Brand is Sony.

Ok my short comment on the New 2021 Apple TV 4K. Did I regret upgrade - No. Is it worth upgrade - Yes. Improvement
I also notice it is much clear video quality and better sound quality, but is this placebo, I cannot sure, but I feel as like others comment it is better. Beside this, I no longer feel weird on two 60fps HDR film, it just simply look good and no more shaggy feel anymore - Gemini Man & also Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk. Finally the New Apple TV 4K 2021 Support YouTube in HDR
But the implementation a bit weird like what you did in Windows 10 where you must set your main interface Video by enable as Dolby Vision or HDR. Recommended set as Dolby Vision if your TV support it as it looks as stunning as SDR for Home Screen in Dolby Vision. If you not enable Video as Dolby Vision or HDR then the YouTube will not able to playback HDR video as HDR. The regular SDR video at YouTube still playback as bt709 which is SDR format even though your main interface is set as Dolby Vision or HDR. The match content here at Video setting doesn't work for YouTube apps. Later you can check the YouTube video is playback as HDR or not by clicking the Stats for nerds and check for Color. If the Color show as bt2020 means the video is playback as HDR format. The issue is you won't know the YouTube video is HDR or SDR as they is no particular label in Apple TV 4K. This is not working for previous generation of Apple TV 4K 2017 where all HDR video is playback as bt709 which is SDR format nor matter how you set the main interface. Hi Aptv members,
I need your help. This is my 1st apple TV4k. After connect to my 4K TV and with Denon AV receiver, I have an issues. Dolby atnos not working in netflix. HDR and atmos content only appear as HD and 5.1 in netflix. Previously, I only use netflix apps in windows 10. Everything work fine. I also bought a new HDMI cable which is a 8k cable. I notice, 4k hdr and atmos is the main issue. Some title only appear as Ultra HD 4K but not HDR. Signal from APTV to tv already 2160p 60hz HDR. My ATV 4K 2021 seem like got an issue with Bluetooth. It can't detect my Dualshock4. Need to call apple tomorrow and I hope somebody is there. I'm not sure whether they close due to MCO. I need them to replace my ATV.

I’ve been using my Apple TV with my main Malaysian account and an Australian account for fitness plies. Normally can only use the Siri on the Australian account but today after update to 14.7 beta I could use Apple TV on the Malaysian account too Is this a feature or bug lmao |

got mine new Apple Tv 4K (2021). I subscribe to Surfshark VPN. For Apple Tv, they request to change the DNS in the Apple tv to theirs (Smart DNS) but that doesn't work most likely to Unifi (my ISP) hijack the DNS (https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4655543/all). So, I decided to activate the VPN on my router (Archer C6) instead. The problem is I still can"t any solution for this. This going on for a week. Anyone here have successfully connected to VPN (US) for the apple TV by any method ? Thanks. |

Hello everyone! Does anyone else get the no internet connection message on their Apple TV for no apparent reason ?
My Apple TV is connected by Ethernet to my switch which is connected to my deco I just did a reset a few hours back or the router so I don’t think it’s a dchp issue Anyone else notice this too? Internet doesn’t seem to stop, or it comes back instantly so I don’t notice Sometimes YouTube 4K drops to 1080p when it happens but not all the time |

Now I basically use Chromecast with Google TV for all streaming platform as it was easier and support all kind of VPN. Also I love Chromecast with Google TV suggestion "For You". You need VPN to US, Canada, UK and etc. to have this feature. Apple TV 4K became for playback local files only. Today I noticed on my Apple TV when I turned it on and opened YouTube that there was an additional blacked out user in between my google account and guest.
It read something along the lines of “ use YouTube singed out “ or “ user has singed out “. I did not get a clear picture as it happened really fast and I didn’t think much about it as my account was still there. Nobody else signs in to this Apple TV. It’s just me. Then, after browning YouTube on the Apple TV I left the room and opened YouTube on my phone which is an iOS 14.7.1 iPhone 12 and it has a pop up at the bottom of the YouTube app asking me to sing in or “continue” in the Apple TV as me. Even though I was already singed it. I cancelled the prompt and so I thought that it was an account issue and something maybe was wrong with the app so I reset the YouTube app After resetting the app, when trying to sing in using the mobile app, nothing comes up as it did just a few minutes before. I’ve been trying for hours and no sign in pop up has come, and I don’t want to keep using airplay as I have YouTube premium Why would the sign in prompt not come up when I try to actually sing in but come up when I’m already singed in? I tried reinstalling the app on my phone to no avail and YouTube support is not working too Is there anything I can try? Anyone else have these issues too? The only thing I did differently was delete an account on the Apple TV and change my region back to what it actually is. |

I’m planning to get ATV but am concerned that my Tv (old model) has issue processing the audio and results in a delay in audio. |

I have problem with my 6 month old apple tv 4k.
Suddenly it just flashing white status light. No power up. Blank screen. I tried to pull out power cord no matter how long... it is still the same. Tried the resetting with remote by pushing menu and + button simultaneously for few second. Still no response... Any idea? |

Anybody’s Apple TV randomly pop up and say no internet connection detected ?
I get this a few times a week, even after resetting my router so I’m not sure if it’s a dhcp problem. Other devices have never shown any error likes this before, the tv connected to the same router also does not give any warning. Have changed Ethernet cable but issue still there Anyone else experiencing this too? Internet doesn’t seem to noticeably stop however maybe it does for a short period |

there is no other iptv app that is interesting (I am not a fan of Netflix). Many interesting iptv app in Android and iPhone but not available in Apple TV. |

After updating my ATV 4K to TV OS15, airplay audio become a problem for me. The audio is ahead of the video by about 1 sec when audio is routed through airplay speaker.
When I tried airplay audio with Ipad (with IOS 15), audio and video were in sync. All the devices are connected to same network. Anybody experiencing this problem? This post has been edited by Cheeky: Oct 4 2021, 01:20 PM |

Now I have another problem... my Apple TV 4k color seems washed out... Never encountered this before until today... changed hdmi cable, no fix... tried Color Balance using iPhone but it couldn't calibrate either...
Watching Netflix but all the videos seemed highly compressed, can see boxy color gradient... Anybody knows what's the problem here...? UPDATE: Problem solved... Some stupid 4K HDR settings... This post has been edited by Eithanius: Nov 16 2021, 09:05 PM |

Just a question... I have both the AppleTV 4K Gen 2 and AppleTV HD and I noticed that the streaming volume on it for HBO Go and Disney+Hotstar is somewhat softer compared to Netflix and Youtube on the normal TV speakers and also on the OG HomePod via ARC.
Anyone else face the same problem? Any way to fix it? It still sounds softer even when disabling the loud noise reduction feature. |

I finally upgraded my ATV 4 to ATV 4K after using it since 2015. I have some question if anyone here can help to answer: 1. My old ATV 4 is dead. No power. I tried to bring to Mac City service center but the guy said it is not repairable (if under warranty it is 1-to-1 replacement, no repair service). Is there any other place I can check? 2. I am using a quite old Samsung NU7300 4K tv. What is the best way to set ATV 4K? From what I read, I use 4K SDR 60Hz, enable content match. For chroma I set to 4:4:4 even though I have no idea what's the different. 3. Related to no. 2 above, how should I set my TV? I currently use the Standard settings. Previously I use Dynamic when watching movie (running from Netflix samsung app. because my old ATV4 does not have 4K). Thanks in advance! |

Normally i would avoid Dynamic or Vivid mode which looks so fake. Standard with warm 2 (some is warm 20) is the best. Can we play Apple music - lossless from Apple TV 4K now?
I connect my Apple TV 4K direct into my soundbar and output image to TV. I see there's an option to trigger Lossless under Setting - Music app there while there is no "auto" But somehow once i change to lossless, it macam loss the ability to play Spatial audio cause my soundbar wont have "dolby atmos" source detected. |

Today my apple tv 4k blink on the top screen wifi connection appears. I click the setting on my apple tv, i saw wifi setting appears on my apple tv 4k. i switch on my iphone than i click personal hotspot. now my apple tv 4 k can hotspot with my iphone.
this setting only on TV OS 15.4 but my apple tv os 15.3 maybe this today, apple tv can hotspot with others network.  |

Hmm.. any one has Apple TV + LG TV having this "screen change" symptom when watch Youtube?
My situation with all firmware updated: 1) Apple TV 4K (2021) - TVOS16 2) LG OLED CX My Apple TV default setting is 4K SDR 60hz only with match frame rate & contents ON Whenever i watch or exit a video in youtube, the screen will turn black for few seconds (similar to how we watch video with Dolby vision / HDR that moment) but here it doesnt change from SDR to HDR/DV. The video stays SDR only but dunno why the "black screen" |

Any recommended TV sound bar that you all have used that works well with the Apple TV? I currently use a Philips Dolby Atmos one and slowly its starting to have some problems turning on and being detected.

Hi all,
I have problems with my Apple TV while browsing for movies selection in Netflix. suddenly there is harsh sound and after that there is no sound when I switching between movies selection. if I continue to browse the selection for a longer time, it will have no sound permanently even the movie has started where I need to restart everything (TV and Apple TV) to get the sound back. to handle this currently once the I heard the harsh sound, I will immediately return to the home menu where there are other apps showing e.g., Disney Hotstar and toggle between apps until the sound return. Once the sound return, I can re-enter Netflix and continue browsing for selection again. I'm not sure anyone can understand my problem description here, but if you do understand, is this problem coming from my apple TV or TV or anything else? anyone experience the same problem as me? Thank in advance for anyone replying to my question |
