Currently using Nvidia Shield TV (Tube) in my living room as main streaming device
Thinking of getting Apple TV 4K (2021) to replace it as just changed family member devices to apple ecosystem already. Wanna know any cons on Apple TV 4k right now from users here ? Current home living room setup: LG CX Samsung Q950T soundbar Nvidia shield connect to soundbar to get either Dolby Atmos or DTS:X Only con right now i find is that native Youtube app of Nvidia shield cannot support HDR  This post has been edited by TongCN: Dec 6 2021, 12:27 PM |

It's funny that buying Apple TV give me 3 months apple arcade redemption instead of Apple TV+ XD
Good also since Apple TV+ kinda useless |

Can we play Apple music - lossless from Apple TV 4K now?
I connect my Apple TV 4K direct into my soundbar and output image to TV. I see there's an option to trigger Lossless under Setting - Music app there while there is no "auto" But somehow once i change to lossless, it macam loss the ability to play Spatial audio cause my soundbar wont have "dolby atmos" source detected. |

Hmm.. any one has Apple TV + LG TV having this "screen change" symptom when watch Youtube?
My situation with all firmware updated: 1) Apple TV 4K (2021) - TVOS16 2) LG OLED CX My Apple TV default setting is 4K SDR 60hz only with match frame rate & contents ON Whenever i watch or exit a video in youtube, the screen will turn black for few seconds (similar to how we watch video with Dolby vision / HDR that moment) but here it doesnt change from SDR to HDR/DV. The video stays SDR only but dunno why the "black screen" |

So that momentary black screen is due to Apple TV changing formats as your settings has Match Framerate and Contents on. Turning off this feature seems to solve the problem for me. This issues had been brought out last year and fixed later on actually  So far no longer see this issue. |
