it is mind boggling that many ppl invest in something they have no idea biggrin.gif

PRS is for retirement planning, u shouldnt look at the returns daily, but more on the long term potential return of the fund

the versa app not very reliable.

it says i have 60,111 in total, but the actual funds are showing 30,024 in Versa cash, and 30,021 in Versa cash-i.

same app, same screen, but numbers don't tally... hahaha

My Portfolios = Versa Cash + PRS Growth tally to the Total Assets

Additional Versa Cash Rebates received this round... maybe it's from the PRS reward

but Versa's 6% per annum is not like bank's calculation, because it's unit-trust based style.

I never calculated and I don't really understand versa that is why I never put money in Versa until they have the 6% promo for 10k so I try my luck with 10k lo

they will pay 90 days of interest for 10k worth on investment in Versa Cash that will be about rm150 in terms of interest gain

10000 x 6% / 365 x 90 = 147.95
So once 90 days over I will add up all the rebate see got this amount or not

I calculated the Total 2022 Payouts + Reinvestment is approximate half of 4% of my invested amount.

i guess we kena tiup hahahaha.
But i have never ask them exactly how it's calculated.

i use add all the 2022 reinvestment+bonus divide by principal amount (less than 20k) to get that 2%
Gross Interest p.a. seem to hover around 3.1% though

if u view from affin hwang site, u can see only 2% gain - to date. then if u compare unit given and rebate every month, it is not same. sometimes get high, sometimes get half from previous month even i dont withdraw.
Investment same amount, but get units and rebate is not fix every month.
When i login to my i- access i was shocked when saw profit up to date is 2%.
So i withdrawed all from versa, put at kdi better. at least i got daily interest and bank in.

anyway, this is my own view & observation

forget about PRS if for tax deduction it is not worth it not to mention the return worse than putting your money into FD collectively. I m not sure by the time i retire the funds can break even or not. imagine 30 years of opportunity costs there of putting the money into FD.

Don't be short sighted. Why do you want to pay for lousy unit trust that at best match FD rates when you can get unit trust that at least match EPF returns over via FSM. Are you so tamak for one time RM150 promo?

Unless affin hwang have a PRS that offer US exposure, I will stay as far away from their prs cause their prs returns honestly sucks.

Your choice. If you feel the RM150 is worth locking up your money for subpar returns, by all means go for it. For me nope.

I put in for both. Tax savings and returns. You can have your cake and still eat it.

The only way is to get a fund with US market access. Not Malaysia or china market.
