i think it's becoz of ur ram ... mine kvr also can boot at 250MHz with 5:4 divider but can't even past 215MHz at 1:1 divider ... that's y i'm letting go my ram and looking for high performance ram ... another member with oc attempt ... welkam to de oc freak club ...

nt sure bout the timing, coz i put auto in my bios, when i cn set my freq to 250Mhz, then i restart and try 275Mhz ad
so didnt c the timing

my cpu cant handle over 3.75Ghz? meaning my ram is nt causing the prob? KVR ler?
if i change my ram, would it b possible to hit over 3.75Ghz? for instance the crucial ram

My KVR can do 230MHz only with my proc,can't go higher.I think your KVR default will be in 3-3-3-8 timing in the bios there.Maybe you tru on 3-4-4-8 and see.

i tried to oc b4 to 3.3Ghz that time my timing is 2.5-4-4-8, but cant pass the sp2004 test

wah... wanna get new high performance ram for socket 478 aa?? try to find 2nd hand one first ... not too pricey .. can ask overclockalbert ... he got some nice overclockable ram ... mine still be secret loo...

Hehe,for me i don't care much on the SP2004. I did prime on 230MHz with 1:1 divider,but after about 6 hours my second CPU got one error. Haha,i use to play games to test my system to see it's stable or not.

the pc3500 has been use for 3 years ad, pc3200 just bec from RMA, just a few days din contact him another forummer make a deal with him ad, haiz

then i try to search again at the garage sales but all 2nd hand wanna sell for high pric for eg. one guy wanna sell off his HyperX 1Gb kit, he use 1 year ad, then he say rm280 firm don wan lower , i add another rm30 cn get a new 1 ad

nw no time to do searching on the ram coz vy near to my exam ad, vy hectic wanna die ad

Wah the Hyper-X is expensive after using 1 year,not worth to buy in my opinion.I think Mushkin RAM perform so so on our paltform only.

What i means is since u had lower down ur divider, that makes ur system not that relay to ram but ur cpu. Cant pass SP04? Might be because u ddint add enough vcore? Try up a little big and prime agian. Doing priming, as if ur not patient enough then i suggest u dont do. Cause it takes alot of time. Or u can try ray's way... After clocked and go test some games. As if the game didnt hanged or crash during play time,then ur rigs are probably stable at the time.

Then for ram, i dont really encourage u grab the new kit. Reason is beacause is too exp.. U may save the $$ for ur new rigs instead of invest on this old sch. If not not mistaken, the crucial ballistix is cost around 4xx or 5xx.. With that money, u may grab another better DDR2 2G kit. Try put sometime on garage sales u may find sometime u want. Haha.. Can hit 3.75Ghz is very sweet already. Dont so keen to get new ram. Anyways, this is my 2cent.. U may do what u want with ur $$!

Try hunt some rams with D43, TCCC chip for P4 platform. Depend on ur mobo can feed how much vdimm to ur ram. If can feed more then 3v then u should grab BH-5 ram. That thinggy can fly u high with high vidimm.

From my view,best is to get the DT-D43 chipset KVR ,it the best among o/c in value RAM.Else can get the BT-D43 too. Other chipset like TCCC need good cooling on it as the RAM runs hot when on full loading,one thing is not all TCCC or /TCCD can perform good on Intel platform.

thx for giving me ur opinion, actually i also don wan spend so much on the ram might as well save on other stuff, actually i just wan to get a decent ram which can run dual channel ( 2 ram lar), coz sometimes when i play carbon will b abit lag, then i wan to play the upcoming pro street also

Well if im not mistaken, Kingston still selling thier rams with D43 chipsets. That was last month ago coz that time go lowyat help my bro buy PC. I think mostly now all value rams still using D43 chips.
