Wow.. Just back from tight working schedule! Hm.. SATA HDD having problems with OC @ at high speed? That i ever heard before but not sure will the same thing happen to old school's like us! Nvm.. Will test it out when i got my new WD 250G SATAII on hand and give some feed back according to this issue! Will gona use this HDD as my primary drive.

Btw, i found that my current ram can been stress under 250mhz speed with loosen timing without any problem. Tested with MemTest Pro edition and stress the ram for more then 6hrs.. But procs will become voltage hunger after go beyond 3.7Ghz. Tested with up my vcore 1.535v vcore then i can prime peacefully @ FSB1000 which is 3.75Ghz. By then my NB hit danger line.. Reached 48'c during priming..

By then.. Tested all this in 1:1 ratio.. For sure i dont want to lost my memory bandwidth by lower down the ratio and hit speed!

Haha.. Guys have a bad news to u all.. Guess gona disappointed u all.. My rigs now is hospitalized. Last night while gaming half way suddenly exploded. Guess is the PSU unit dead. I saw some "bunga api" lighten up and got some smell comming out from the casing.

Haiz.. Havent got time to do investigating for it yet. Hopefully the mobo and procs dont dead. Else i gota migrate.

Yea.. Hopefully other hardware still working fine. Before it goes hospitalized, i had noticed that the +12v wasnt stable already. On idle it goes around 11.8xv lidat. I just thought wanna change a PSU and it goes dead. F**k..

Haha.. Im using 450Watt thou. Hm.. I not sure whats the condition at the moment. It happen last night 1am something lidat. Lazy wanna go take off and do investigate. Yea.. If mobo dead then no deal already.. Gota migrate lo..

Haha... Me not soon wo.. Is gonna be. Haha.. Dont yet.. Havent check the hospitalized rigs. Haiz.. Still thought can save up abit to grab a better GC but who knows dead in a sudden. Really "soi" lo..

Haha.. This plan gona postpone until further investigation is done. Cos i wander will the mobo dead or not.. If mobo dead then gota migrate lo.. Planning to get AM2 3800+ Brisbane on mind. + with BioStar T690M..

Hah.. Yup! Actually i did think on migrate before my rigs is dead. But im too lazy go shop for all the thing and assemble it. But who knows.. The time has arrived. Guess need atleast RM750 to get all the parts! Lol.. Will announce later when i done investigate my part!

By then, this time i learned a lesson. Get a better PSU before did any OC!

Haha.. Yea! Maybe he is lucky lo.. I think mine was PSU overloaded then exploded. By that time my system was running on 1.535v vcore.

Hm.. I not really sure yea.. Since it got sounds and fireworks come out.. And some weird smell i can assume that it was something burnt and exploded.. After i power off it and on agian. The mobo LED wasnt lighten up as usual anymore. So can says that is the PSU totally burnt.

Yea.. AkuComel la.. That make me down.. Sh*t!! Damn lo.. Exploded already. Hm.. Now my rigs condition still unknown. Hard to make decision by now. Need to do some check up first. Haha.. Hm.. Now? SilverStone Strider ST400 on mind.. Cheap but powerful PSU.

Edit: Oh yea.. Using TCCC ram. Those 2 rams that im using now can hit 255mhz and done MemTest for 3hrs without any problem. Interested?

Lol.. So do me.. Dont plan to invest anymore. As if the procs is burnt but mobo ok i might will grab a replacement procs and make my rigs alive agian. But if mobo dead.. Then gota say bye bye to S478 this legend generation.

Yea.. My kingston was using TCCC ram chip on it. Haha.. Well.. Those 4 stick ram of mine can consider as gem in old sch rigs. Both TCCC and D43 can goes beyond 250mhz thou. Just pity they were in unknown condition now. By then, i not really sure about TCCC will get heat up with at high speed thou. Cs i always got a fan blowing the ram.

Haha.. Wanna go back to my workshop to dig out the old 400Watt psu and try it out tonight. Wander what components is spoils at the moment.

Yea yea.. Almost the same scenario to what u had mentioned just now. I just shock when the screen were freeze and game hang. Then heard some sounds effect and then as u says super effect the "bungai api" pop out and then comes with the superb smell.. I do see some lighting pop out.

As for my +12v.. it was never goes beyond 12v even in idle.. Thats what worried me at 1st. And also for the +3.3v were almost near 3.5v... Weird scenario happen before the PSU exploded.

Haha.. Finally get back to live!! Yea.. Ur right shinjite, just the power supply is dead. Changed a normal chapalang PSU now. And runing fine. Ofcause.. Now running at stock speed! No OC life for this two weeks.. But atleast save back some $$..

Haha.. Yea! Finally back to work.. PSU dead. Just now unscrew the AkuComel PSU and see.. Guess what? 3 leaking caps. And 1 is exploded. Pity forgot to take picture just now.. Threw it away already.

Hm.. Was browsing bulk sales now.. Didnt see anybody selling it. Most of them who bringing Silverstone stuff were was ST400 was out of stock.. Might thinking of grabbing CM PSU.. Is CM PSU trustable? Any other reliable PSU recommend? Wander hows the Gigabyte Odin power perform.

Yea.. Finally! Back.. Still a way long to play on AMD plattform thou.. Haha!

Hm.. Max will be around RM250? Haha.. Was hunting for good and reliable PSU now. Else same thing happen agian thou. My current chapalang PSU cant supply enough juice to my rigs. I gota take off some of my fans, 2x cd room and floopy in order to have enough power source to my rigs. Before i take off some of the accessories, my HDD keep got sounds. Like power off..

Guess no gaming and other etcs beside surfing at the moment.


Edit: By then guys, can roughly help me estimate the resell price for my system? Just wanted to know the value of this old sch at the moment.

Motherboard: Asus P4P800 Deluxe (Can Hit RM250?)
Processor: P4 3.0E Ghz (RM200 Maybe?)
RAM: 2x TCCC & 2x Hynix D43 (Couldnt figure a price for it, maybe rm50 per stick?)
GC: GeXcube Radeon 9800PRO (Maybe around RM200?)

haha.. Not really wana chnage.. Just wanted to know roughly my rigs still worth how much? By then.. Not really the time to migrate yet.. If i do, i got not much time to learn all the thing from scratch agian. But if got chance to do so, i might consider.. By then, most of the AMD chip at my wrok place here are Windsor chip.. Waiting for Brisbane arrive then will think about it.

Lol.. My mama board still consider one of the best OC tools for S478 eh. Dont plan wanna sell it that easily since the resell value wasnt that good. Old already.. Grandma generation better take good care of it.

Haha..Yup.. Its Biostar TA690G.. The selling price for this mobo at my work place is around RM290. But i can get cheaper. Just im not so sure about AMD platforms at the moment might need to learn it before i migrate.

By then, now no $$ wanna migrate as well.. Since my current rigs serve me well.. Might be a bit early to migrate. Havent enough with S478.. Aming for 4.01Ghz.. Smoke away bro Shawty record.

Hm.. The onboard vga for TA690 is using X1250 should me enough for mid end gaming peep like me.. By then i got no time for gaming also.. Like now, OC just for video encoding and surfing.

Lol.. At least better then Intel set thou. I count before. For intel, atleast need to have 1.2k budget before can get it. Intel procs and mobo are far more expensive than AMD thou. A mid end OC board already cost around 300-400.. Then procs again.. Even the lowest speed DC E2140 1.6Gh almost same price as X2 3800+ liao..

Lol.. If wanna compare o/c ability. I think E2160 will perform better than E2140 instead. That beast can hit over 100% o/c thou. By then, both intel and amd got their own good thou. Im just wander hows amd HTT works if compare with intel HT. Since HTT is directly affect the overall system thou.
