Erm...i still don't have any experience of using SATA.My new SATA HDD isn't reach on my hand.I think need to ask shinjite or other members whether they are using SATA HDD or not.I think that thee high frequencies of several slot will affect or corrupt the HDD itself.Usually for PATA,we will lock the AGP and PCI ratio.

i think 7600GT can score at least >12k in 3dmark03. 11k is a bit low. my 7300gt if running at stock with oced cpu can get 10k+. Like they say, try overclock your cpu to something like 3.4GHz, sure it will boost. wink.gif

Anyone here knows the SATA is going to be corrupted on the HDD if the frequency is going too high?Yeah, pengster no problem on the editting.kabukiawie and pengster,i agree with you all,if his proc is going 3.4GHz...the FPS will be good.

i think need to take out all the peripherals b4 running 3d mark 03.
My score also limited at 11k using 1950pro previously.
taking out all the peripherals, my score bump up to 14k.
it is shown in my blog x1950pro

1 of the best time to benchmark your stuffs is after a fresh install and without installing any stuffs yet, just your benchmark tools smile.gif

Oh,that means the o/c doesn't effect much on the SATA HDD right?Do you fix the AGP:PCI ratio ?

so far i still cant find any sata issue when ocing. i just not sure that the frequency for sata chennel will be increase together with fsb like what mentioned by raymond. unsure.gif

What i found when googling, most of the issue is more to those mobo that having more sata port. when ocing those mobo, some of the sata channels are disabled. For us, mostly we have something like 2-4 sata channels, so i believe this is not an issue for us. just my 2 cents.

Oh good to hear that.I afraid that the SATA HDD is going to hold us from o/c better. What's the configuration you are using? You place your HDD on SATA port 1 ?
