Haha.. Thx! Hm.. Was using mosel chips.. Was wander what happen with my mobo. Tested before with my fren P4P800, my ram can boot on his rigs. Just mine it cant boot up. And also, i'm having problem with tweak the bios. Once i do some setting on it and reboot. The PC will hanged. Need to power off and on it again. Clear cmos and changed the battery already. Still the same thing. Will it cause of im using sata HDD?


Add on: Problem solved with dont select for the performance mode. Otherwise the whole system will hanged. Weird problem with this SE mobo. By then, this mobo really better then my old dlx. The OC option are more wide then dlx. At least i got 266, 333, 400, 433, 500mhz of ram speed to choose. Kinda impress by northwood temperature. 35'c idle @ 3.07Ghz.. OFcause with 2 fan on my hyper6+ and MX-2.

Some update agian.. Guess my 800SE was a choosy mobo. It were rejecting my xms! This time i really got fxxked up. Here is the scenario that i had tried:

A). Both 256mb D43 chip = Can boot into windows flawless
B). Both XMS Versel chip = CANNOT boot at all. Just a blank screen i got
C). Mixed both all stick of ram togther (XMS @ 1st & 3rd slot) = Same as above
D). Put 1 of the D43 at 1st ram slot and xms on slot 2 & 4 (dual channel) = Can boot but before get into windows it restart. Try 10 times 10times like that.
E). Both D43 on 1st & 3rd slot and XMS @ 2nd & 4th slot = Boot to POST screen and hang.. Like hdd failed to detect.

What the hell is going on man? Gosh...... Can anyone tell me? 800SE really rejecting my XMS versel chip. Im now only can run on 512mb ram.. Abit slow!

Seems like i gota change my ram agian.. Both XMS are function.. None of it were faulty as i had checked & ran on my fren's pc.. Both are running fine. Just my mobo seems mesh with it.

More or less if ur case were like what i mentioned, can sure that is the mobo kong already. Hm.. Wanna get my P4P800-X? Haha.. That mobo is good for casual OC kaki only. Like what kabu says, not much setting available on this mobo. But if u dont plan to crash ur proc to the wall. This mobo can serve u well lo.. Between u and kabu.. Dont wnna sell to who..

Yea.. First i was though is the mobo dead or something happen to it. Then i try to boot without ram and the mobo was giving me beep signal. So that mean the mobo is fine. Yeap.. Bootable with only 2stick D43 but not xms. By then, my D43 are single sided ram while xms are double sided.

Memtest my D43 for half an hr already, no problem with it. Hm.. Update again later. Now wanna do some testing..

----- Updates -----

New scenario:

A. 1 stick D43, 1 stick XMS = Bootable, get into windows successfully.
- Memtest for 20mins with both stick of D43 & XMS, return 0 error.

B. 2 stik XMS, 1 stick D43 = Cannot boot. Blank screen.

C. 2 stick D43, 1 stick XMS = Bootable, get into windows successfully.
- Yet run memtest due lacking of time. Will do it tonight.

D. 1 stick XMS itself = Cannot boot, blank screen

Seems like im having dual channel with XMS. From the experiment above, that what i can conclude about my ram. And also, i need D43 to be at the frist dimm slot in order to get boot successfully. Otherwise, no matter how i swap the slot it still giving be unbotable problem. Until D43 be at the 1st dimm then everything will be fine back.

Thanks for ya help bro.. Haha! Anyways, some syok to share here. I just grab a 3.2E with rm100.. Due the seller didnt use that proc for a long time, and he agree with sent the proc to test out see its working or not before i make payment to him.

The mobo is lying at my table dy. Haha.. Get 800-X and 800SE together at the same time. And both mobo has been tested. Bootable and functioning. Guess i will got a extra rigs soon since my new proc is on the way comming.

Yea.. From what i read in article and reviews, 800SE was a stable mobo. Seldom have problem. But just wander why mine so picky! Guess im gona let go my xms and hunt for better pair. Maybe it cannot run mosel chip.

Yea.. Flashed my bios already. Was running on the latest beta bios. 1st i was though is bios problem then i flashed it, but still the same problem occurred. As u say, i need to have D43 as the 1st dimm then everything will run fine. So now i was running on 1 stick D43 and 1 xms. Wander will it be DC problem for my xms..

Yea.. With the xms alone.. Sure give me blank screen like usually we set the CL too tight. Nothing is comming out on the screen. It must accompany wth old D43 then it can boot up. Thats weird.. Maybe the 800SE is rejecting the xms. Guess need to sell it off and change for another ram..

But the xms default timing is 3-3-3-8.. kinda loose actually. Hm.. I just not sure why this will happened. Either is the mobo picky, or the ram is picky. As long as the D43 is on the 1st dimm, sure the xms can boot up. Thats weird..

By then, only 1 D43 and 1 xms can be at 1 time. If 2 xms and 1 D43, no matter how i swap the ram still giving me blank screen.

My advise for u about that P4P800 Deluxe seller.. Hm.. IMO la.. He not really a trust able trader. I had pm him about the the proc and mobo before. Know whats his offer for me? RM500 for both. Ok.. Then still fine.. By then, he requested me to pay him immediately if im interested and he will only sent the item on weekend due he was staying at hostel. So.. If ur a smart guy.. U know what i mean..

As for the abit mobo.. The seller is good. But just the price for his mobo is killing high. Haha.. I offer RM250 for that mobo he still says my offer is low.

Guys... Just back from dinner! Haha.. Well.. Wanna try up my xms again. Wanna see got any latest news. Otherwise, i think i i will just trade this pair of ram with vikingw2k 2x Aeneon 1Gb DDR400 CL3.

1. I asked the owner of the P4P800 Deluxe & 3.0E Proc offer me the price for his item. Then he tell me RM500 for both of the item. Ok.. That still fine. And then, he PM me again and asked me to bank in the payment to him immediately if i ok with the price and he says he will only POST the ITEM out to me on weekend. Due he was stay at hostel cannot go out. Oh well.. The way he talk in me through PM makes me feel that he wasnt a trust able forumer. Anyways, this my 2 cent.

2. For the MAX3.. The owner is good. Just he asking for high price for that mobo.

Yea kabu.. The ram was running fine on my frens' pc! Just was damned with my mobo. Gosh.. By then, im late a mins! Viking just sold the RAM! OH NOOO!

Anyways, tried almst everything method already! What albert & sang told me i had tried. Still the ram.. Both ram can run as long as 1 D43 is plug into in. And then, if both run together on DC it sure give me blank screen.

Haha.. Yea! Same.. If both of the same ram on my mobo. Sure no response. Not even a single TICK sounds from monitor. Haha.. Well.. Not compatible i guess. Hm.. Ur getting P4P800 to fire up ur BH-5? That still enough dude.. BH-5 was a legend chip but it also a voltage hunger. Need atleast 2.9v to make it fly high. P4P800 series only feed the most 2.85v for viddim. Not really enough. Unless u invest a DDR booster in. Else.. Nothing u can hope for that ram to fly high.

P/s: ic7-max3 is a good mobo thou, but then the owner asking for high price. Haha.. Good luck in nego with him!

Yea.. BH-5? Need a booster to boost the vdimm to feed the ram in order to push it fly high. I was on my mind to get a pair of mushkin BH-5 as well. Hehe..

Yup. The highest vidimm for p4p800 series is 2.85v lo. I was using the mobo sure i know. Hm.. Maybe he was busy. That two mobo of that guy was a spare item. He wanst keen to sell it off i guess. Thats why he didnt layang ur thread.

Aloha.. Just back from dinner.. Bringing some updates guys! Tried the xms with P4P800-X.. Guess what? Improved abit thou.. Better then on my P4P800SE.

The xms was bootable with 1 stick on 800-x. But once insert another stick, same problem came. Cannot boot up.. Haiz.. Gota try it on my fren's pc again. I remeber last time i tried on this system, P4P800. No problem for DC on that mobo.

Bh-5 + DDR Booster guess will solved the problem. Mine i think was the ram who chose the mobo. Since tested on both mobo still having the same problem. Was asking my fren's to hook some cheap DDR booster from ebay.

Haha.. Yea! Know that.. Anyways, if im not mistaken only OCZ has the booster. No other brand of booster thou.

As for p4p800-x, max vidimm is 2.68v...
