Haha.. I not sure my fren yet. Since he havent confirm with me. Pulang kumpung due raya. Will update latest news when i got the confirmation. Will be using 2.8C at the moment until got further notice. The fastest will be this coming Wednesday then can get the replacement mobo. Will going to try the OC potential for Northwood now..

Hi there, welcome to the old school club. Ic.. Planning to get new AGP card? Thats kinda expensive thou. Like kabu says, AGP is getting rare now. As for the HD2600PRO AGP version.. U can try to hunt it at Lowyat plaza. I bet there is some shop selling it. But be prepare around 500 for that card.

By then, Nvidia 7 series will serve u well as well. But its depend on u, either u wanna stick to DX9 or DX10. If DX9, the highest u can get is in GeForce series it will 7900GS. Galaxy brand cost around 5xx for this card. Nice card thou. For ATi series, 1950PRO / XT will be the highest card. Of cause, these card will bottlenecking in our S478 system.

As for DX10 card, currently only ATI series having AGP platform. Either u can go for HD2400PRO or HD2600PRO. Both of this card are using DC10 features. Ofcause the price is killing as well. IMO, never ever go for 2400PRO. Because its only has 64bit memory interface. Not a good deal for gaming.

Yea. I saw there were a thread in garage sales, a forumer is asking the price for his AGP 7300GT Premium version. Its a good card thou, same as what kabu is using now. I'm once looking for this card before. Try ur luck over there. It might be urs.

Hm.. Will it be window problem? I used to have a customer having this problem. Keep got BSOD and dumping physical memory to disk. But his problem solved after the HDD got format.

Wow.. Seems like P4P800-X had problem with DDR400 on DC. Will try it out once i got my board 2mrw. See how it done on my hand.

Haha.. Well.. Didnt means p4p800-x was a problem board. Just from previous case pengster & khai84siong seems having problem with this board thou. By then, gota get mine by tomorrow if tonight no flight delay. Wander wanna keep the p4p800-x as spare board or just sell it off. Since im gona use the SE as the main one.

Hah.. Ok.. Lets make the thing clear. Im now handling in P4P800-X & also P4P800SE with some forumer here. Well.. Get the P4P800SE bundle with a P4 2.8C processor. As for the 2.8E & 30Cap 3.0 was owned by my fren, which i mentioned already i might wanna exchange with him. But not sure he wants to do that with me or not lo.

So now, i got a extra mobo which is P4P800-X. Probably will sell it off after i got it. Since is a extra kit. Atm, i will be using the P4P800SE and 2.8C..

I dont think is ur psu limiting ur vdimm. But is ur mobo, since the max vidimm ur mobo can feed is 2.7v... No matter what psu u pair with also will only give u max 2.7v vidimm. Well.. This is my 2cent thou. Correct me if im wrong.

Havent get my parcel yet. Tomorrow need to check with local post office. By then, i dont plan go any further then 3.8Gh this time after i get my 800SE.. Dont want to fried my mobo and proc again. Had checked with Asus site about my mobo thingy. Their technician was suspecting mobo got overloaded with voltage. Something like vcore add too much during OC, and the weird high pitched sounds was produced by then voltage regulation capacitor near the proc. That what caused the proc & mobo fried til dead.

Any sounds? High pitched type? Anyways, its hard to investigate the problem without taking off the hardware. Fans, mouse and other devices will light up just the system cant show out the POST screen? Sounds similar to mine last time. By then, what the last thing u do before u shut down ur pc? Did ur system automatically on when u on the power source plug on the wall socket without pressing the ON button the casing?

Yea.. Take off all the hardware. Clear CMOS. Then assemble it back and see how. As if still cant get into POST screen. Then try take off the ram and run ur system again. See whether got any beep sounds. If ur mobo still alive, run without ram sure will keep beeping. Otherwise, no beep.. Higher chance is ur mobo dead.

Yae.. Might be the psu.. Maybe also is the mobo problem. Like mine, tried with 3 "kick" type psu also no effect. Due the mobo is dead.

Kabu, the buzzer that khai84siong mention i think is speaker that located on the casing.

Since u had tried unplug the ram and other things. U may have to tried with uplug EVERYTHING on the mobo and re-put it back again and try again. Yea.. Even the mobo is dead, the HSF & the LED on the mobo will still lighten up. Just it cannot make the system get alive. By then, is better u take ur ram, gc and proc check on other working rigs. Have a check on ea of ur item see whether are they still working.

Lo... Bringing some news here. Finally fired up my new system. P4P800SE with 2.8Gh northwood. Well... Good and bad all come together. The P800SE cannot boot with my xms. Gosh.. Now running with 2stick 256mb.. Wanna flash my bios and try agian.

Seems like ur proc is fine. But no luck on ur mobo. From ur case, is almost 80% similar as mine. No sound no other thing just the fan will spin when power up. MOBO is dead.
