Can I ask a noob question, will hackintosh run smoothly on a notebook with build in video card which use shared memory?

smoothly in what sense? Gaming? Photoshop? Or what? Please be more specific wink.gif

For built-in graphics, best is to used either intel GMA900/950. Other than that, less chance to be able to work.

With GMA 900/950 --> You get full hardware acceleration

GF 7400 --> Supported but I am not sure if the bulit-in LCD would work or not

what i dont understand is nothing shown in installation destination windows, though i had unallocated space in my hdd.

another thing,i have to format it by using partition magic first or just using osx86 alone?

In order to install mac osx, the partition MUST be in mac journaled. Since mac only can write on fat32, so you can use partition magic to format it into fat32. Then, boot the hacktinosh dvd and format that fat32 into mac format. wink.gif

Just noticed there is one thread here today sweat.gif
Anyway, my hackintosh is up and running few days ago on my AMD Opteron with ATi X800XL

I thought i read somewhere that OS X need a whole drive and a single partition wont work? It actually works ??

I installed mine through VM Ware, a whole HDD, then reboot, viola, boots into OS X.

But a bit disappointing because my built in ethernet is not supported sad.gif sad.gif

it means you can't just tick all those box and have to choose accordingly to your specs?
