For hackintosh user, most of you use how much of your hdd partition for os x?How about the minimal amount needed inclusive of installation? Thanks.

i partition my hdd about 20GB. Cos' i install some software like CS3, WC3 etc.. Minimal i would say is 4-5GB. The installation is about 3Gb+ if you don't install multiple language and also printer drivers. wink.gif

I would really suggest installing on it's own drive. If you take the time to set osx up right on the right hardware, you are going to like it more and more. Increasing the size of the partition is a big pain, save yourself the time and just install on an extra drive. Bootloaders can end up being a real headache also, better just to use your bios to choose the drive. Fudged MBRs are no fun.

Yes, choose which drive you want to boot from by your bios @ boot time. I end up booting XP now around 1 or 2 times a month smile.gif

Again , read the wiki and search the forums of insanelymac. JUST USE THE SEARCH Function , its all there . Like I said , you need to have some 1337 knowledge on how to install kexts and stuff like that.

Again OSX has drivers for NVidia cards , all you need is EFI Emulation for it. Thank god , Jas' DVD And Tubgirl comes with them. So you just tick them and it will be installed for you

If you're looking for custom drivers made by a friend of mine ,DiaboliK . He has made it soo easy , then check out his site http://diabolik1605.com/DHF and for help on natit , join irc.osx86.hu , #natit

Again , you need to check what is causing waiting for root device...If you're installing on a 965P mobo , it will not work

I say if you're not up for this challenge , go ahead and get a mac. It saves you all the time and hassle !
