thanks for the reply.
callisto + agpart by katana pack works for me.. it detects the right GC but no QE/CI enabled and cant change the resolution too. at least graphic acceleration and opengl is enabled. can run skype
9700.kext, it enables my QE/CI but then graphic card is not detected as 9550.. weird!
the real problem is i cant seems to make it suit 1280*1024.. i dont mind not having qe/ci for such low end GC, but at least i want to hv right resolution on screen, else hard for my eyes.
oh ya my GC is MSI RX9550 256mb. else i gonna change GC to Nvidia for easier patching and better functioning in hackintosh.
one more thing, what is the aperture size in BIOS?
without qe/ci, wat else u cant do? all i can think of now is cant watch dvd.
@minority
ya agree with u.. gonna fed up wit radeon and change to nvidia
If you want set to 1280x1024, you can try type "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32" in the boot screen. If everything works fine, it should give you that resolution. Then, you can modify the com.apple.boot.plist. Since you use callisto, it should have the option to set the resolution. Or you might want delete AGPGart. AGPGart is very unstable atm. It still alot of bug. If you use AGPGart, you should set the aperture size in 128MB. I think that's sum up everything. Ooops, forgot one thing. Without qe/ci, lotz of stuff you cant do or have buggy app. Eg, dashboard got some animation and w/o qe, i really find it really lagging or sometimes hang.

Well, it depends how you use it. Personally, i prefer with qe/ci. I use 9700.kext and add "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x32" in com.apple.boot.plist. It works fine for me, except that it detect my gc as 9600gs, i can play games like wc3
