Hi All,

Just got new my car last week, direct trade in my old car to Perodua Sales branch. Initially i plan to wait around 1 to 2 months. I was surprise the SA call me my car has arrived just in 3 weeks only.

And for the Perodua Smartlink i google for this app call easy connection apk file version 3.0.3 (both are develop by the same company) and install in my android 11. Its working flawless and can use the Mic button on steering for Google Assistant.

Dont use the newest version 4.0 and above. Its 60mb and buggy.

What's your variant and colour?

I just signed loan agreement today. Wonder how long it'll take, pretty sure productivity during Raya week will drop drastically sweat.gif

WhatsApp B/W not really can be evidence
Anyway to your SA branch manager
If your SA is dealer and also manager then change SA
But as I know currently certain colour of Ativa very hot sales and waiting period is very long, unless you got no colour preference then even if need to wait long also sometimes can jump queue

Thanks for sharing that tip on the easy conn v3.0.3

Its the first time i've managed a stable connection, but does the app allow maps and waze to work while driving? It wasnt allowed for me.

Also, after i disconnected and reconnected my phone, it became buggy with the constant disconnection.

How are you finding your car so far? I hope yours isnt going to end up like mine, with tonnes of dashboard rattling noises.

Hi, The easy connection apps suppose to work even while driving, especially on navigation apps waze, google maps. Try change to another USB cable or close the app from your phone and reconnect it again.

And recently i install (Android Auto for phone screen), then use easy connection app to mirror from phone into the Headunit. And i can use Android Auto now. Even though my phone is android 11, i still need to download the (Android Auto for phone screen) apk file to install in my phone inorder to mirror it.

i learn this step from this Ativa owner youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vifJyo27piI .

My car is still very new just manage to pass the breakin 1000km period only. Everyday drive 1-2hours to learn this car characteristic.

Saw this on Youtube.
What if Perodua brought in a 1.2L N/A E-spec basic version. And price it lower than the X spec. Would it sell even with a manual? Yes they also have a Auto version too.
Price shown in this video is PHP 746000 = RM 61,823 = yes its same price as our X spec but could be lower, if Perodua price it right.

did yall know that, all the components behind the dashboard are not covered from the footwell of the driver's side?

if you run your hand down the plastic cover below the steering, you'll be able to reach behind and touch some of these things in the image below.

Nope, was just casually touching and feeling the areas around the driver side and then my hand slipped into nothingness when i reached below the steering wheel.

Then yesterday, out of curiosity, i decided to stick my phone up the area. Now im wondering what those brown marks are.

Not sure how i feel about having all of these exposed without a cover. Does feel like a budget move.

Those brown marks are rust at welding areas. Wonder what will happen a few years later with those rust? Hope Perodua will improve on its QC and QA.

Yea, i was thinking along those lines but didnt want to entertain that possibility.

Quite unfortunate that after all these years, Perodua hasn't really stepped up their game.

Any idea how long is the waiting list for X variant? Seems like the demand is not that high for X variant, queue should be shorter?
