It will only go into parking mode in 5 minutes after you've shut your engine if not wrong.

All dashcam with parking mode will drain your car battery. Have to check back on the accuracy of the voltage protection d.

Max 128GB as per specs. Don't have a 256GB microSD to test with.

Got notify when it's entering into parking mode but have to wait about 5 minutes after shutdown engine.

Can't remember is beep or voice prompt.

im facing the same issue, did you found the problem?

I have sorted out my issue....
The hardwire cable is not properly connected to piggy back fuse. So maybe power not stable or etc.
Now I have use direct cut and join wire to piggy back fuse.

Vcc to fuse have constant 12v regardless engine ON or off.
ACC to fuse only have 12v when engine turn On.
Btw... My peugeot have have something weird ON and OFF 12v condition for fuse tapping.

For parking surveillance.... After engine off... I think about 1m the device is said enter to surveillance mode in 5m. At that point the a500s is OFF.

About the firmware .... What are the latest version?
Mine is running on 0.0.34ww dated 2021-01-22

The a500s I found out have issue on sensitivity to trigger parking mode recording... After it in parking mode (10-15m later) ... I shake my car..... It not triggering recording. Setting been set to high sensitivity.

Anyone here can tell me about inside your phone app. What is the device model name for your A500S? Mine is the China version and device model is showing as "70MAIA500S". Is that different from Malaysia set? However, I was flashed to the latest worldwide version of 1.0.6ww with multilanguages.

Global is 70mai Dashcam Pro Plus +. China is A1500S.

Both same model.

I guess the local Malaysia is selling the global version, the device model is A500S-1 and the China version device model is 70MAIA500S. That's why I'm doubted about why my A500S won't automatic checking for latest firmware. I need to manually download the global firmware from a Russian forum and the forum require bypass the Russian captcha in order to register then login to download.

This is what I don't like about why 70mai do not provide firmware and share to public.

Sometimes China version needs to be in China region only can get those functions

Wanna ask how to check if my 70mai parking surveillance kit was successfully installed by car accessories shop ?

hope can review the new ddpai Z40. spec quite similar to a500s but using super capacitor. I heard super capacitor more reliable than lithium ion in a500s.

The Z40 should be arriving next week from DDPai.

Should be interesting hopefully price is affordable.. <$400 for both front & rear

I've avoided ddpai bcos there's no mini screen

Hi, i just installed a500s on my car. Want to ask does it automatically record front and rear videos at the same time or do i need to push on the head unit to manually record the rear cam? Tq
