I bought the A500s brand new about 2 months ago. Since last week, the camera kept turning itself off and on again for no reason.

I have tried factory reset and changed the SD card but still the same problem.

Then I disconnected the rear camera and voila, no more shutdown. If I replug the rear camera, it will shutdown again.

WTF!?!?

Expensive piece of crap! Ain't worth 400 bucks!

Will use without the rear camera for now and repurpose the old Yicam as the rear camera.

The best part? An el-cheapo Asawin works fine on my other car with 2 cameras running. And it is only 200 bucks!

Just updated the stock firmware of my A500S (long overdue though), but after the update seems that the cam will have a hard reset and need to set everything again. All went fine except the ADAS calibration, where keep on getting failed even though the camera's position was not changed and it was working fine before the firmware upgrade.

Any idea what shall I check to solve this problem?

Thanks

SNIP
I'm experiencing the same issue. The A500S ADAS system is crippled after a certain firmware update, and calibration doesn't fix the issue.

By the end of the day, I just disable it because it's starting to get annoying. The ADAS keeps telling me I'm experiencing lane departure even though I'm not.

This problem arises while my unit is still under warranty, but I simply don't have the time to RMA it.

How do I disable the startup sound? There is no option in the setting.

I've off the speaker volume completely. Now when I parked my car there's no "enter parking surveillance mode after 5 minutes"
