Samsung Evo Plus got new model with slower write speed

64GB
MB-MC64GA (Read 100MB/s, Write 60MB/s)
MB-MC64HA (Read 100MB/s, Write 20MB/s*)
*note the slower write speed on the new model, if you need to keep the 60MB/s write speed, move up to the new 128GB capacity model.

128GB
MB-MC128GA (Read 100MB/s, Write 90MB/s)
MB-MC128HA (Read 100MB/s, Write 60MB/s*)
*note the slower write speed on the new model, if you need to keep the 90MB/s write speed, move up to the new 256GB capacity model.

256GB
MB-MC256GA (Read 100MB/s, Write 90MB/s)
MB-MC256HA (Read 100MB/s, Write 90MB/s)

Bro

Before I pull the trigger on my first entry level dashcam, what are the expectations or concerns I should expect and anticipate fro this model or brand?

Decided not to hard wire it for now...

Cheers mate!

thanks for confirming

really searched high and low, and just pulled the trigger for the A800
the 4:3 square recording was a real put off, and the various down scale cost cutting items from the A800.

that said, i do think the WDR/software HDR function that the A500 pro plus has and the A800 doesn't is kinda nice for night recording.
so that's a win over the A800 which isn't surprising as it is released just this year while the A800 was mid last year.

Im kinda confused with your statement, so you bought which one bro?

Anyway I started the day super busy till afternoon only to raised to needed to checkout LzD but it was too late cos A500S sold out😂😂😂. Ended up buying 2 of the A500 Pro Plus instead from Dasher 😂😂

Meanwhile bought 64gb SanDisk A1 separately... BTW is this considered entry or mid range? My first dashcam 😝

and just pulled the trigger for the A800 <--

i bought A800 + RC06 rear cam
with a SanDisk high endurance 128GB to have larger storage on 4k + rear camera full hd

A500S is basically pro plus, don't worry.
the major difference between A500 (pro) vs A500S (pro plus) is built in GPS and support for rear camera

A500 is mid range from 70Mai brand.
overall 70Mai is a trend setter/trying to lower the cost for dashcams.
think Geely Proton vs the big conti cars on tech and offerings.

entry level from 70Mai is lite, or 1S

I thought the diff between A500 and A500S is just the rear camera while both equipped with built in GPS..No?

Anyway if it's mid range then I'll be damned... Cos should go with entry level for beginners....🤦‍♂️

blurjoey bro would you know if the RC06 have microphone and also records sounds? Or it relies entirely on front for sound recording?

Think it uses the mic from the front cam as there is no hole for the mic on the RC06.

For calibration, you need to drive on the road with clearly visible lines.
Just turn off and then turn on ADAS to force the camera to start calibration.
Move lens according to the onscreen instructions and drive for some time (until camera announces successful calibration) around 40km/h.
I have done calibration four times and had no problems.

Check if you have a properly connected the GPS module (check the recorded video on camera to see GPS coordinates and speed). ADAS will not work without GPS.
