Those are iridium spark plugs. Cost more but can last longer.

Hello guys,

Today I sent my car to Nissan for service, told me that my car need to replace the lower arm (both sides) and subframe as due to crack.

Total cost is about 3K (labor + parts), Woh so expensive.
Just a quick check have guys replaced these parts before? 

My car is about 8 years old, still serve me well and I did not feel is there any abnormality, not sure do I really need to replace the lower arm & subframe???

Any  thought??? Thanks.

Replaced lower arm 2 years ago (part bought from nissan stockist at around 2xx per pc). The workshop i go workmanship so so only.
Suggest you go ask workshop that you familiar with about the labor & part charges.

Im owner of GL 1.6 year 2014. Was told by SC need to change both my lower arm, subframe  is crack according to them.
Will check outside workshop first

I changed compressor at around 170k km even though I believe it can still survive 1 year (air-con giving noise due to this for nearly 1 year).


One thing to take note, periodic / annually service air-con does last longer but be prepared to fork out RM 500 - 1,000 ++ per service (mine one including labour to change spare parts).


However, I do notice an unusual jerking in speed more than 60km/h, can be 80km/h or 100k/h, I do feel a short and quick jerking sometimes worry that the car might sudden stops at that speed. So far the jerking is quite sudden and recover if I continue accelerate. This jerking is more noticeable when cornering or I cruise at certain speed and release the fuel pedal. Anybody encounter this? If this is the early symptoms of gearbox failure, I think I have to change my car soon. My friend told me is due to torque converter (orifice stuck).

I am experiencing this. Minor leak ......seal gasket. Was quoted price to change 700 eventhough gasket seal cost is less than 100. Major cost goes to labour. Btw this is quoted by outside foreman. Nissan SC quoted be 1.5k is not mistaken

Currently I am having few major issue.

1 Lower gearbox seal gasket
2. air cond compressor magnet deterioration and making knocking sound.
3. bushes, lower arm and engine mounting and etc

Can any user kind enough to recommend a good mechanic around PJ? Reliable and honest.

Car has clock 130k km and am thinking reluctantly to change or upgrade. Still resisting.

My aircond compressor got knocking sound ...metal loose. They show me an example it was the compressor pole holding the pulley. There is gap and hence when compressor start the pulley will shake a bit in order to get a grip etc. Technically compressor is ok working but the pole comes in whole pcs with....

honk wasn't functioning for few days.
send for workshop, told that there's 1 part broken ( not sure the part name)

replace with oem product RM400 included labour

nowadays they seldom repair for u, just change new one 

I went to SC to check, it is the spark plug and coil. Changed the spark plugs, surprisingly only clocking 150 kkm. Last change at 100km, which should last 100kkm.

It is just mild jerking, and didn't cause any failure.

jerking on my car also lately.
change plugs fixed the issue.
worst case scenario the coils died.

first time change plugs
90k kms

Any reason for not replacing all 4 ignition coils at the same time?
