my 2012 GL rear brek light burn out (left side). I try to buy a replacement, but
when i wanted to replace it , i unscrew 2 nut that hods the rear light assembly
but still unable to remove it from the chassis.
Anyone have experience changing a rear brek bulb before? pls hint...
*
TS may have replaced bulk as 1 year ago post.
Found old photo on my laptop, just want to share with other GL owner DIY kaki.

Photo of 2009 GL driver side rear lamp assembly.
After unscrew, need to pull lamp assembly bit harder due to 2 lock pins (yellow circulated).
To re-assembly, just push 2 lock pin in first.

Good luck & happy DIY.

Yes, happened to me and replaced the clock spring that cost me around rm500 including labor.

7 yrs livina.

Very costly part

QUOTE(bryan_823 @ Jan 11 2018, 06:54 PM)
Do outside workshop. Asked Tan Chong before and it is abt same price
*
Found online selling price from as low as RM50++ to as high as around RM400. I am sure even nissan stockist sell few hundred ringgit.
Though of diy but a lot works, need to disconnect battery to remove airbag in order to replace clock spring, then after replacement need to reset airbag indication light.
Need to save cost bit & considering buy parts & let outside workshop do the job.

😂 still have few things need to replace, aircond blower motor sometime not working, rear brake shoes....

Received letter during the 1st recall to change drive's side. This round, got call to change passenger side.
*
Yup, this time is passenger side, just receive nissan letter with "URGENT" red word on top of the letter dated 8Feb2018 but i receive on 19Mar2018 😅.
Heard from friend it take 3 to 4 hours to replace, i think actual time needed to replace the airbag not that long, because follow SOP queing up that may take the most of time to wait.....

Found the culprit, got Throttle Valve error code
could be wiring problem, or worst, Throttle Body doh.gif
I suspect the latter

Throttle Body is damn expensive! RM4.5K!!! doh.gif cry.gif

will be hunting for recon/2nd hand parts, there's no oem version for this also cry.gif
It's super rare! doh.gif

Update on my livina issue:

3 weeks ago bought a cheap carburetor cleaner from a discount store @RM5.99

sprayed almost the whole can into the air intake while asking my sis to rev the engine
the liquid that sprayed out from the exhaust... fuiyoh... and the smell... yuck!

and after that....

the problem are less persistent now

used to be CEL light on 8, 9 times in a week, and have to start more than 20, 30 times only successful

now, once or twice in a week, even when the CEL light is on, second or 3rd attempt is successful

seems it's just dirty sensors, will go buy a better cleaner and try again

pray hard i can save 4k+ to replace the TB, or wifey stop pester me to change new car

Seem good sign, good luck to you

earlier i complained of power loss or hesitation when i press the pedal for pickup.
at first thought was gearbox.
in the end it was the spark plugs.
changed them all and problem solved.
luckily not coils.
*
Are you using nissan recommended type of spark plugs (only need to change after every 100k km) before change new 1?

What is the mileage since your last change spark plugs?
