So i just tell the accessories shop I need to install "Aircon filter"? How much roughly it costs? Any specific shop you would recommend?  smile.gif
*
If you are from Klang Valey, many mylivina.com forumers installed aircond filter (RM55 labour + OEM filter) at below shop

Fully Auto Electrical & Air-Conditioning Service (Pusat Hawa Dingin Kereta Dan Bateri)
Jalan Meru, Klang

The location is nearby Coordinates: 3°4'11.0"N 101°27'0.7"E, hope this can help

Landmark - Bazaar Rakyat Majlis Perbandaran Klang or TM Point Bukit Raja is opposite the aircond workshop.

Did you guy install air filter after getting grand livina? Is it necessary?

Hope you guys can help. Thanks.

According to some new GL owner, 2012 production GL come with air-cond filter.
Check it out yourself or refer SC.

NGL FC is around
RM0.13 to 0.15 per km, that goes for
14.6l/km to 12.7l/km (from pure highway to pure city)
*
12.7l/km pure city, mind to share how is the traffic condition & where? car age? Ron95?

Hi sifus, just to check. My 3 weeks old livina has bad fuel gauge  reading in my opinion. Not sure is normal. When my mileage below 200, the reading already took more than a half tank. And when the reading meter at low fuel, it still can reach 450km and the low fuel indicator still not red yet.

Normal?
*
Normal, same with my 46months GL.
GL fuel gauge reading is non-linear propotion, 2nd half tank more mileages then 1st half tank.

My GL has clocked 60k after 2 years. Is it possible to request Tan Chong service center to change service interval from 5000km to 10000km?
*
Below is just my opinion & I am doing that.

If your GL do not have any/much problem, perhaps you can consider use full synthetic oil then you can service every 10,000km. Bare in mind TC use castrol full synthetic oil slightly more costly then other brand from market.

Benefits is
- you will feel your GL lighter using full synthetic oil
- overall every 10,000km you pay bit less since only 1 time labour charges & service tax.
- spend less time go to svc centre.

Of cause, some people say if you travel city drive more then long distance, better use mineral oil & change more often.
So this is very depends on individual preference.

Just my 2 cents

Reasonable quality & price.
Yesterday just change mine 2nd time, 195/60/R15 4pcs RM900 (may be year end sales, last change at other place much more expensive) include balancing exclude alignment, end Sep 2014 stock at Weng Heng Bukit Kemuning.

any idea what is the cost to replace the front absorber
*
Replace at Nissan service centre sure more expensive but they claim have warranty on part.
If you have good workshop, buy part from Nissan stockist cheaper.

This is not true, usually a lot GL owner comment 1.6 will have better FC compare 1.8 only give performance and better driving experience
*
For city drive, 1.8 FC not so good, I believe 1.6 Manual FC should be better.

GL is not hard to maintain, u may use Nissan SC schedule and buy those spare parts urself and go to ur trustworth workshop to do
*
Look for Nissan stockist, original parts cheaper but might not have warranty or warranty shorter then Nissan SC.
If OEM parts mostly cheaper.

Beginning of this year, I bought original front brake pad, 1 pair of rear absorber from Nissan stockist & repair outside workshop, total cost around RM500.

my NGL 1.8 just able to reach 10.5km/l 70% city 30% highway
*
My 5 1/2 years NGL 1.8 usually city drive in the range of 10.5-11.5km/l. Highway drive usually 12.5-13.5km/l. Best ever achieve is around 16km/l for once tongue.gif

you need to bring it to the service center for the mechs to adjust the fuel float.
similar to the float in toilet so the water doesn't over flow when it refills after a flush.
but this float measures the fuel and returns a number to the meters.
*
Just to share, 3 months ago, my GL have strong unburn petrol smell at outside of car (driver side rear absorber area).
TC SC checked & confirmed complete unit of fuel pump need to be replace due to the fuel hose joining part (plastic outlet some kind ot T join) minor crack line causes petrol leakage.
Replacement of complete unit of fuel pump cost 1k++ exclude labour.

Yup agree with you, fuel smell - safety issue top priority.
At last i insisted to talk to SC branch head, he agreed on some point i high lighted, offered some discount for fuel pump replacement but yet till 1k++ in total.

How's your GL?
