so what will you recommend to buy if my budget is 70K fix.

axia/saga = same dimension
myvi/persona = bigger dimension

both more value for money

or as /k usual, topup a bit, get a b-segment sedan/suv

I have a manual Axia. It can do above 18km/l on highway easily.

if handling like myvi then habis la.. hopefully dnga will improve the handling

Highway RPM gonna be high, not your Toyota CVT kind of RPM

120km/h @ 3.2k RPM.

Although good pickup but will definitely struggle to reach speed above 110km/h

Rear AC vents, soft touch plastics, pano sunroof, electric driver's seat, remote engine start, 4G+wifi with Proton link connectivity, 360 camera, auto wipers and parking assistance.

anyone know when available can test drive?

Don't forget Proton collision and L2 system got Radar, Ativa if not mistaken only the camera.

Would be the final nail in the coffin for my X50 booking.

Interior size should be > Kembara. Around Myvi.

But if you're priority is ride, NVH, pickup.. why choose SUV? Sedans have the edge here.

SUV being taller has more wind resistance hence noise and poorer handling due to higher center of gravity. Also usually heavier vs same segment sedan (although Ativa seems pretty light)

Suggest test drive Ativa first as there are BIG differences from X50. Especially if you travel highway regularly at speed.

Itchy hands wan try compact SUV too. Have a slightly higher ride.

If u can park B segment sedan, SUV until X70 should not be a problem

From Saga, better just topup a little bit la get Persona/Iriz (really, just 5k-10k more)
Feels more premium and that 1.6L horsepower makes it a lot more enjoyable to drive
