I'm considering either Ativa or Yaris (similar price range) since my wife wanted a small car for city / groceries as we already have a bigger SUV family car.

Anyone here have the same experience with me? Both models of their top variant offer similar specs.

Test drove both and feel both are pretty good on its own. Dilemma.......

Also Test drove both and agree w you they Both feel similar in on urban roads. Therefore, felt the Ativa has a slight edge in pricing (AV 72k vs Yaris G 85K), ground clearance (trasversing slight flood, potholes) on 17" rims, adaptive cruise for longer journeys, some extra safety systems but without the knee airbag.

Can't get rid of the nagging feeling that if Yaris, might as well take the Myvi for 30K less.

In the end, bought the Ativa X for 62K as a middle ground.

The Ativa X is the lowest spec ? It is really barebone ( can't stand the radio !).

Why not take the Ativa H ( RM68k), it has most features that the Ativa AV has, sans the safety camera related safety features.

I posted this on the car clubs ativa section but it was not as active as this thread.

Does anyone feel strongee  vibrations or "knocking" sensation at the floor board of the front passenger seat?  It only occur at certain speed.  Initially, i thought it was the road conditions but it turns out not.

I am not certain if this vibration on the front pax side floorboard  is normal.
Pls advise.

Maybe is the tools to replace wheel?
They are place bottom of front passenger seat and only cover by a magic tape mat.

To me, it's brilliant and perfect for my needs. Yes, it is a downgrade if you consider the comfort, ride and handling of a sedan. After all, you'll be disposing a B-segment sedan for a compact SUV that's barely B-segment. The L2 autonomous driving and safety features at that price though, is what gives it amazing value for money.

Yes, I would think downgrade in comfort, quietness and stability.
My gf got a new Vios and I took Ativa, I can say Vios is best in class for the 3 things above. Ativa is not bad, probability better compared to last gen car, but back is kinda bumpy, back seat are just ok. However 70k get adaptive cruise, damn. Can feel the auto slow down or breaking but not jerky, good if u travel a lot using highway even in kl or Selangor but not stop go traffic la.
So u take d bullet?

Thinking of this, I think this could be it. The last time I search for the jack in an Axia, I thought someone stole it or was not given! But it was under the front passenger seat. Ativa has them down there too. Try to make that velcro carpet tighter maybe will help.

"With the global semiconductor shortage in full swing, Perodua, like many other car manufacturers, is facing a serious supply shortage of automotive parts."

If booking today, i believe u might likely to get your car earliest by December. But depends on variant and location also. hmm.gif
