Wow thanks for the info. Glad to hear they are very helpful and willing to offer replacement (not sure about whole phone though, has anyone got a replacement samsung phone in malaysia due to faulty? I know apple does this all the time but not sure about samsung malaysia hehe) Also what is the timeframe from the purchase date where a replacement can still happen? I'm sure they won't replace it after 6 months usage lol

You can replace anytime actually, provided if you can pay for its spare parts price. Also the time I replaced, my free replacement screen warranty was almost expired so I took the chance to change. My phone screen was already cracked but I did not change yet as it is still usable. Coincidentally, just when I plan to replace the screen (because I plan to sell the phone as almost brand new), it malfunction itself showing green flickering light at bottom half of the screen or just not display anything (not sure what causes it, but I suspect due to strong magnet attach at the back of phone messes up the AMOLED panel, since screen already cracked anything can happen, few days before). Don't asked why I use the strong magnet, I have a good reason for that, all I can say is work related fulfilling job requirement.

The place I got it changed was at Samsung Express Service Centre - The Gardens Mall.

Ok noted maybe next time I can consider Gardens Mall if I need to repair phone.

Yeah seems like replaying at the exact points of 'crackling' in the youtube video does not happen when my case is removed. So I suspect is the case blocking part of the earpiece causing the distortion. Will need to monitor for a few more days and I usually don't tune up my volume that high thats why I didn't notice this until recently.

May I know what casing you are using?

That's a shame, a branded high quality case should have perfect cutout and should not block the earpiece speaker and cause distortion. Maybe request for a replacement instead.

Yeah I will keep it in my drawer for time being, I'm now using liquid armor from the same brand lol, much better but lose the kickstand. And I kind of wrestled to take the Hybrid S off my phone coz it's so tight, until I thought I bent the phone haha

As soon as I got the phone off from full charge, it drops to 99% in few secs.

And the fast battery drain starts. We paid top notch dollar to get the best and still not get the Ultra feeling,

SOT of the battery is bad. 4-5 hours SOT, my previous Pixel 5 can reach 8-9 SOT no problem. Really 5000mah?

I ain't experiencing Ultra feeling with this phone. It's already 6 days in, and ain't seeing any battery optimization or adapative battery kicking in.

Something is hitting the battery hard. I'm seeing many get outstanding battery life on Reddit some 1 day plus until next charge, with QHD + 120hz , mine need to charge twice a day.

If need to step down to 60hz refresh rate - turn off this and that, that's not the reason to buy an 'Ultra' phone. Better just go for the A series.

Wonder if we can return this phone, bought at Samsung Ioi city mall

Pixel AOSP theme with Hex app(to look more like Pixel)
Nova launcher prime with Google feed (left swipe)

What to do. Samsung phone is like that. It powerful and dont know what background processes keep running until it drains fast. I upgraded from n20u to s21u .. thoughts will have big improvement of battery but not the case... Maybe SOT from 3.5 hours improved to 4 hours only.

I have found SOT comparison not reliable. Because different people use phone differently so will have different SOT.

Try this. Play Youtube continuously and nothing else. I am pretty sure you will get 10 hours SOT on your phone.

I am on N20 and was unhappy as hell with short battery life. Unbelievably bad standby battery drain. I tried everything I know of and I believe it's Bixby Routine setting that finally giving me 4 hours SOT with 40% battery left. I think that is the best I can get so I will let it rest now.

These are what I did on my N20
1. Dark mode
2. As many apps to sleep as possible.
3. Adaptive battery
4. No 5G
5. Location OFF. Use Bixby routine to auto-on and auto-off Location when opening/closing certain apps that requires Location.
6. Power Saving mode

I am not sure because of mind still new (less than 2 weeks)
I feel superior battery life with min of one hrs of FIFA mobile been play, my device able to sustain whole day.
Maybe you can try the trick that share by using 120hz with battery saver.

The reception signal also much improved compare to note 9

Can try going into bootloader mode, there's an option to "repair apps". Try using this + format the cache and see if it helps.
If still not working, might be something faulty with your set? I'm getting at least 6 to 7 hours sot.
And I'm on qhd + 120hz.
Too bad we don't live in the US where consumers have the right to return a product for full refund within a certain time frame if the product doesn't perform to expectations.

Or use tasker to automate everything lol (wifi, power saving, sync off at night etc)
