QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Feb 17 2021, 07:41 AM) UV Glue TG sometimes might gives problem to FP sensor and it is expensive. It is risky as well sometimes accidentally lifted by casing, then will not close gap anymore. Thanks for your sharing. Bro, you got ESR TPU casing (with stand)? what do you mean by it doesn't touch the camera module at all? is it a good or bad thing? lolLike other said, maybe you can try Hydrogel/silicone type such as Rockspace or X.one. I tried Rockspace clear type, not bad actually ... just cross finger it is compatible with casing. Anyway it is cheaper because I managed to get RM30 for 2pcs last time from Ipoh seller. Maybe is my personal opinion that the camera module is not safe. In fact it is aluminium and not easy to scratch. But if it is black, I am not dare to comment as I watch Jerry's video actually he scratched it and black color coating came out. For camera lens, I have no idea what material glass it is.. If it is sapphire, then should be good without protection. Waiting for someone to tell me. To comment on camera TG, I believe for sure the quality of photo will be affected once installed... maybe very minimum if get good one. I bought one LEEU brand and will give a try. Please take note camera TG might give problem to casing which actually I notice most casing spigen/ringke/samsung ... did cover at least edges of camera module. Except ESR brand TPU casing which doesnt touch the camera module at all. I will try LEEU brand camera TG. and hope it will not give me problem with my ringke fusion or samsung silicone cover. The TG must be thin enough not to conflict with casing.. I ordered one but not yet arrived which makes me worry if it doesn't protect the camera module at all. For samsung silicone case though it kinds of hide the whole back design of s21u 😅 I think only samsung made cases got such design right, including the leather case and silicone case with spen...which hides the camera module exposing only the camera lens. Coz all other cases (spigen/ringke/rhinoshield/etc) I noticed only creates a bump to provide sufficient protection for the cameras. This post has been edited by spaceman: Feb 17 2021, 08:34 AM |

My spigen hybrid s case just arrived, surprisingly good protection (with all the sufficient but not so bulky bumps around all 4 sides of the phone) and the stand is very solid. Highly recommended! bennedict82 liked this post

QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Feb 21 2021, 08:49 AM) I am spigen fan too. But recently I found rinke fusion matte is really cool and more sleek if compared with spigen hybrid. Furthermore, it has matte surface that will not catch any finger dirty marks... so I go for it. Spigen protection and quality better. Ringke fusion just good enough and expose the beauty of Phantom silver. Yeah if compare side by side with the liquid armor the hybrid case indeed feels greasy to the touch. But I'm sure it has better protection over liquid armor coz only few days ago my note 10 with liquid armor case drop from waist level and has a few scratches on the curve part of the screen (factory screen protector), so liquid armor isn't up there to protect the curves.QUOTE(Azureknight94 @ Feb 21 2021, 11:33 AM) Used spigen case for last few phones. Bored already. No new designs I agree but the signature UAG is expensive and bulky at the back (with fake screws etc), i tried it once back then and never consider that again lolUAG cases are also nice but the price |

Always think camera protector not needed, now I'm wondering if it's better to get one? 😂 But spigen camera protector cost Rm50 😱 just to cover up the camera lens...tempered glass sure is expensive nowadays 😅

QUOTE(grumpyoldgit @ Feb 23 2021, 09:52 AM) I used to think like that until I dropped and cracked the screen of my Note5 and it cost me like RM700 to replace. Now I will straight away install TG SP and lately TG camera protector too.. save me from tears later. did u put a protective case on back then? cases nowadays have sufficient bump to protect camera upon accidental drop |

QUOTE(grumpyoldgit @ Feb 26 2021, 10:44 PM) Wow looks nice! My phone still rocking Spigen Hybrid S with stand case because I mainly use it as a media phone right now haha, watching Netflix and Astro Go requires a kickstand 😂Considering getting a Samsung Silicon case with Spen when need to go back office work as it offers better protection even to the whole camera module. Also, out of curiosity, how many of you got the snapdragon version? (Be it s21, plus or s21u) because right now I'm seeing someone selling at much "attractive" price (eg. 5099 for s21u hk dual sim) on shopee/lazada. Not sure if i will regret for not getting a SD version later lol This post has been edited by spaceman: Feb 26 2021, 11:19 PM kernel123 liked this post

QUOTE(alister88 @ Feb 28 2021, 01:04 PM) Im using one too for my S9+, a 2m long cable for my 15w adapter. I've also bought the original samsung 25w adapter from lazada, so far so good can achieve super fast charging and doesn't heat up much.Planning to get a longer cable for my 25w adapter. The stock cable too short, I need to crawl over to get my phone sigh... I just bought an Ori Samsung 25w plug head yesterday. Does the adapter heat up or the phone heats up during the charge? My S21U, my old 15w adapter and ugreen cable heats up while I was charging it. Not sure if the phone is draining too much power from the adapter that causes the heat. Then when I charge my phone with the newly bought 25w adapter, my phone is warm but the adapter is ok, not hot. Wondering if 3rd party adapter will heat up or not. How about your cable? Are you using Ugreen cable too? I wanted to get this, https://shopee.com.my/UGREEN-Fast-Charging-...3440.5004537420 but not sure if it supports Super Fast Charge and will heat up or not. alister88 liked this post

Seems like the crackling sound is coming out from my top earpiece. Can anyone of you with S21U (maybe other variants also can try) open this youtube and listen at higher volume (no need max) and let me know if you hear any hissing or crackling voice when he explained things? p/s Dolby atmos on with auto mode.
Not sure how and where I can get a replacement if my earpiece is really broken, can i just go to the service center at 1 Utama? This post has been edited by spaceman: Mar 4 2021, 09:41 AM |

QUOTE(Josh95 @ Mar 4 2021, 10:11 AM) Definitely an issue with your earpiece speaker. Wow thanks for the info. Glad to hear they are very helpful and willing to offer replacement (not sure about whole phone though, has anyone got a replacement samsung phone in malaysia due to faulty? I know apple does this all the time but not sure about samsung malaysia hehe) Also what is the timeframe from the purchase date where a replacement can still happen? I'm sure they won't replace it after 6 months usage lolI have encountered a similar issue as yours with sound crackling at high volume after I request for screen replacement for my S10. The earpiece speaker was working fine before replacement. After they have changed the screen, I noticed the sound crackling when it play certain bass notes at high volume. The earpiece speaker was not changed because I noticed there is still dust accumulation from my previous usage, so I assume they fiddled and mess up the internal wiring that drive the speaker unit. I send it back to service center to let them check. They did the replacement again FOC this time due to the fact they configure it wrongly. So in the end I get a brand new screen replacement with the earpiece speaker change as well. This post has been edited by spaceman: Mar 4 2021, 10:35 AM |

QUOTE(Josh95 @ Mar 4 2021, 10:59 AM) The place I got it changed was at Samsung Express Service Centre - The Gardens Mall. Ok noted maybe next time I can consider Gardens Mall if I need to repair phone.Sorry just notice this post, better as in how? No more crackling or still there but less perceptible? Yeah seems like replaying at the exact points of 'crackling' in the youtube video does not happen when my case is removed. So I suspect is the case blocking part of the earpiece causing the distortion. Will need to monitor for a few more days and I usually don't tune up my volume that high thats why I didn't notice this until recently. |
